Aww mate I feel for you! Look after that last one.

Watch the smell issue and the whole stealth issue if others are that near. You get used to the smell sometimes and don't realise how strong it is.

Make sure it's clean in there after hermies...you have to play ultra safe now.

Well, it depends on your definition of "low" lol. By most people's standards I'd be in dire straits. I've got a little under half an oz. But I actually am still quite a light user and, at least so far, I haven't developed even a little tolerance for it. So I've barely put a dent in that half-O over the last 8 weeks lol. It'll last for 5 more weeks until I get this last plant harvested.

That said, I've had a lot of problems with my back lately, and I've smoked a couple of times just to deal with the pain. So I don't doubt my usage will go up some in the future.

Yeah, I fired the ozone generator back up. I found that if I put it further in the room, instead of right under the exhaust port, it does a better job of controlling the smell.

Day 52 - *sigh*

And then there was one........

I chopped the hermie last night. That was by far the most depressing thing I've done in a while. Nothing like killing a perfectly healthy plant to make you sleep well at night. The worst thing is knowing that there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. Every other problem I've had with my grow has had a solution that would put me back on track - provided I could find it. But not this time...

The clones got flushed this morning. The three that had rooted were just starting to take off too.

I did some rearranging in the grow tent. I moved the remaining plant so that it's directly under the light. It had developed a significant lean to the right during the last week or two as it tried to grow around the larger plant. So I've tied down the two tallest branches and pulled them out to the left to allow more light to reach the interior of the plant. I'm hoping some of the inside branches and bud sites will take off and maybe try to catch up to the rest of the plant if they have more light.

Last, I took 8 clones from the remaining plant. One of them will be my mother for future grows. The others that root will go into a rubbermaid bubble bucket. I'll give them some extra time in the cloner so that they can really get their roots developed and to get them used to the nutes, and then they'll go straight into the grow closet on 12/12. If all goes well, I should get a secondary harvest a few weeks after the last plant is done.

Pics -

#1 The remaining plant with her new LST job.

#2 - #3 A couple of bud sites on the last plant.

#4 The new batch of clones.

No. The last batch had rooted, but they were from the hermied plant, so I got rid of them.

I took this batch of clones this morning.

Day 53 - The fat lady has sung

Yeah. It's over. At least this grow is. The last plant is also a hermie.

It's somewhat ironic. I thought going with beans from a reputable seedbank would make a difference in the quality of my crop vs. what I got last time. Maybe it's sort of like the way it is with dogs - the mutt is much healthier than the pure breed.

The blueberryxhaze mothers that I created from my last grow need to be trimmed down again to keep them the size I want. I'll clone the cuttings and start a quick SoG from them.

Thanks everyone for all the support and help with this grow. I'll be back in a day or two with the new one.

I hope you are able to get your girls to grow big.

I grew two of WW
with the intent to make some seeds.

After the 2 plants were pretty mature
I cut some to smoke
and left some growing
to pollenate whenever.

It looks like I may finally get some pollen.

My Afghan grow has produced a male for me,
so I will get some pollen from him,
before it is too late.

I grew the two girls with AN nutes,
using a 50% nute load for the whole grow.
RO water, with 600w hps

They were very different plants.

One was tall and very sativa like
and it hermied.

The other plant was a true WW pheno,
very coverd in trichs and sparkly.

Both plants are small because
I was hoping to grow a male
and I didn't veg at all.

I was hoping for some WW pollen
for my Jamaican crop,
but both plants were girls.

After I cut most of the big budz
I left a few on the plants

You can really see the difference
in the two plants on this screen

Here are the two girls after their big haircut

Now that the weather is cooler
I have dropped the temp in their room.

This one is making some great colors
and smells like hot chocolate

I have had the tops in jars for a few weeks.

They smelled like dirty socks for a month,
but now thay are starting to smell sweeter.

The first try at smoking some
gave me a headache,
but now it is very very very good.

It is a minumum 3 weeks to cure properly,
but worth the wait.
Week 4 is even better.

I got the seeds from HGS
and I let them know about the hermie,
so they sent me 14 Purple Cindy
replacement seeds.

The plants are living under some CFLs,
18/6, in RO water.

I haven't fed anything
for over two weeks
and she is still making new cakyx'

When my male Afghan
spews in a few days,
I can finish them off,
and get my seeds.

I didn't mean to hijack your thread,
please forgive me if I did.

Day 54 - A reprieve of sorts.....

Well, I went in last night with the intent of chopping the last plant, but then I noticed something that made me change my mind. All of the male flowers were confined to the small side shoots. There weren't any on the main stems. Since I was going to prune off the little side shoots anyway, I went ahead and removed them last night.

I'll keep a close eye on the plant from here on. As long as the main branches stay female we'll let it keep growing. Otherwise it gets the axe.

I disagree. Yes, the first batch of clones was taken at the very start of 12/12, but the entire purpose of taking a clone is to preserve the genetics of a strong, healthy plant. The fact that these plants hermied so easily means that they have pretty weak genetics. There's not much point in preserving those genetics. More importantly, if I tried another grow with clones from these plants, there'd still be a very high likelihood of the clones turning hermie. So I'd just be wasting my time. Better to start with new seeds, or clones from a healthy plant.

In light of that, I destroyed the second batch of clones this morning. Oddly enough, two of the cuttings had already started to root - just 24 hours after they went in the cloner. I guess they knew their days were numbered lol.

I took 8 cuttings from one of my Forbidden Fruit aka blueberryxhaze plants this morning. Past experience tells me they'll root quickly and easily so I wouldn't be surprised if all 8 clones take. Depending on the status of the Widow in the next couple of weeks, the clones will either go into a homemade bubble bucket or else into the main system if I have to chop the Widow. Assuming all goes well, I should be harvesting the clones in about 9 weeks .

Good news man- I hope it stays female for you. Do you have any more WW seeds left? Seems like a rip off...

No. I only bought 5 seeds to begin with. One never sprouted. Of the four that sprouted, two were eaten by the dog. Which left two for a grow.

Really sucks too. From the size of that other plant the crop would have been pretty spectacular.
