Introduction
I am currently growing Lowryder original genetics. I acquired my seed from the best company ever! www.lowryder.co.uk they have the fastest worldwide shipping I have ever experienced. I got to talking with one of the employees (could be owner) named Tom. I got into the refferral program and now I can offer you a discount! Use this discount code "SD2596" (without quotations) when you order to get 5% off your purchase. Wish someone did this for me, but its ok the seeds are very good well priced. If you order from that site with the discount code you will get the same seeds and plants as you see in my pictures. I will be growing half my plants for smoke and half my plants seed! I love to grow lowryder because it is an experimental strain, not well know by most growers; who can say they grew a runderalis strain? With the autoflowering characteristic you can use advanced techniques to improve the potency and yeild. I would like to get everyone's tips on that. (Example: On an old forum I read that 3days of straight darkness before harvest will make your buds explode with resin! Is this true??? I dunno!) Seed and Strain Lowryder - short autoflowering plant cross between Ruderalis and Indica/Sativa. I got 100% germination rate but I always do. I will explain how latter in the post. Please standby for pics I'm only starting to get this thread ready. Autoflowering means you need no timers for your lights, you could grow this plant with almost no light, or on a windowsill. I went the opposite direction and left my lights on 24hrs and will leave them that way through flowering. The Increased daylength will induce sidebranching and produce the shortest possible plant. I keep the flouro lamps about a 1/4 inch for the very top of the plant at all times; Sometimes touching, its safe and keeps your plants from streching. Lights, Soil, Surroundings Lights - dual 4 foot flouro hung over a tray for catching runoff water. (80watts) Plus extra compact flours for flowering (total 160watts) Soil - Miracle Grow Soiless Mix - Females in 1.8Liter pots after sexing. Surroundings - FLAT white Interior Latex Primer. (Works Good) Tempuratures - Room ranges from 22-28*C or approximately 68 - 85*F Humidity - Changes with room tempurature but I keep lids on all open water! Well surf's up thats why I need help!!!
Apparently the potency of Lowryder is one half the strength of lets say... skunk#1. I need to make the most of what I have by using advanced techniques to increase the potency and/or yeild! Does anyone have any comments about 3 days of night with no water, does anyone know what this does?? - I think it would start clearing out the chroyphil early making for a better first smoke - Also I think the no water would quicken the cure process - But As far as I can tell you should leave the light on for three days to make the plant think the sun is drying it out! ANY COMMENTS??? ![]() |

I modified my webcam to magnify in!!! I hope you like these close up of new growth and side branching on day 12 or so. The Strain is Lowryder so right about now the plant is switching into flowering phase so things are slowing down! Can anyone tell me why the leaves want to reach for the sky???

What no nutrients will do is cause the plant to use all of its nutrients in the stems and leaves for the buds. This will help it push a little more or the plants thc to the buds (Theory), And definately clears out all the fertilizers to create a little better smoke.
As for the 3 days of night, I have read something like that also, but am afraid to comment on it. The only thing I can say is that is to make sure to watch out for bud rot and mold. Watch those trichomes closely around harvest time to make sure you dont let any thc get away. Im not sure about leaving the light on for three days. You usually dont want to do any drying caused by heat. Also, your curing technique will have an effect on the quality of the smoke. Last edited by SurfsUpBrah : 10-12-2007 at 04:43 AM. Growth looks great so far!!!
Nodes are close together, so your light seems to be a perfect distance away from plant. Leave look healthy "Look kind of Indica'ish" Can't wait to see them come along The leaves are reaching for the sun!!! As long as the ends don't curl inward and upwards, this is good. Photo 1 - Average, no sign of sex. Signs of heat stress on fan leaves ( I let them grow very close to the light.
Photo 2 - Strange could be the "micro-phenotype" the breeder wrote about. The grow tip on the top of the plant seem to have been stunted and the side shouts are growing very slowly. I have not topped the planted. Photo 3 - Average, no sign of sex Photo 4 - Average, no sign of sex Photo 5 - Average, no sign of sex Photo 6 - Average Grow Tips on all plants - no sign of sex Photo 7 - The "Micro-Plant" It looks like abud but it isn't the grow tip on the top of the plant was stunted and prevented the plants top from growing further. |
