Take a few of the whole plant too, it doesn't look like like its needing anything from the shots you put up...

and don't worry about that lil bit of browning, higher pistils will do that...

The thing is that only like the mid-level buds are changing not the top cola. Yea I have a microscope thing, its outta batteries but apparently it takes the same as my scale.

Are the pistils usually still white at harvest or almost all brown?? Ill post some sort of update once I check the trichomes.

Checked the trichomes....They seem to be getting cloudy?? Maybe I'm just imagining things. Week 4 flower starts tomorrow. Also, I threw in another 42w warm white and took out the 26w daylight.

total = 290 watts of CFL POWER!

So I made an odd discovery today. For floro tubes (48") I have a 3000k and a 3050k plant and aquarium light (found at walmart that I bought for shits and giggles) The side that the plant light is on (bulb says 'wide spectrum', glows purple) is the side where are all the buds are turning brown, but on the other side the pistils are all still white! really strange if you ask me.

So I switched the tubes around and hopefully I'll see some browning on the other side.

I always thought flowering time was dependent on genetics/strain not lighting. So I still dont know why the trichomes are appearing cloudy. I think I'm gonna clip a small bud off in a few days maybe a week.

Hey, nice grow. I'm on my first grow almost 2 weeks into flower. Your plant is so nice and bushy. I don't have nearly as much room as you so my plant is smaller, but our buds look very similar.

I just noticed that some of the pistils on my plant are browning, and i am only using soft white CFLs (5*26=130 watts), and they are browning on the top cola as well as the next node down... so unless we are both doing something wrong i think its fine. Question: At what point did your leaves start to develop those nice crystals?

idk if i would clip a bud off yet those buds have alot more to grow by the looks of it, and for ur ? the pistils will be brown at harvest i think, i dont think they will be white, but i am a noob too so....nice grow man and good luck

why do you want brown pistils?

and you're right thinking flower time depends on genetics alone, you cannot make a plant flower faster than it can, though you can help it flower better

UVB also helps trich formation as does really low humidity cuz the plant protects itself (transpires less) with more trich formation.

Bear in mind I do not use UVB bulbs, I am to cheap to buy em... but I have been told they work quite well by real growers here on GC

Things are goin along....no real problems, maybe another 2 feedings to go. I used 1.5 tsp of hydrogen peroxide last watering, never tried it but alot of people says it does good stuff (especially if you have root rot)

your plant looks so awesome ThePot...congrats! so all the other plants were male huh? I remember a pic on 10-15 u posted in this journal that was the droopiest/sadest looking plant ever! This one is nice lookin though. You gonna regenerate her after harvest?

thanks for the kind words guys. Yea that plant was really sad, I revived it though just needed some TLC and alot of water, too bad she was a male

I think Im gonna give it one last feeding of ferts when I get back to my apt. maybe right at the end of november, than she'll have 2-3 weeks of regular water and a flush somewhere in there. Hopefully she'll be comin down between the 12th and the 20th. I think the 12 is the beginning of week 8

I dunno if I'll reveg her or not. Depends on how many of my 3 new plants survive and are female. 2 of them are lookin pretty sick @ 2 weeks. Also depends on how she smokes.
I assume theres info somewhere around here that gives some details about it. I assume you just cut it down almost all the way? Pics to come sometime soon!
