transplanted swazi and shorty today. held my breath and just did it. pics tomorrow.

Quick question, what happens to FF soil if you leave it in a tub like this??


Will it dry out and become useless?? Just making sure

U can see Swazi in the middle in a big old square pot, and Shorty in Swazi's old home. Transplanted them yesterday and they seem to be ok.



Here they are from the top, I put Stunner on top of Swazi to get her more light and more air flow. this is ok right??

And heres stunner, shes a little retarted still but shes growing. My boy said that Males usually grow retarted and if it grows pretty uniformly its usually a female. Is this true, he doesnt seem to exactly know what hes talking about so just curious.

The Purple Haze looks awesome Hope I can have a plant like that in my garden one day...

About the soil- I'm not too sure about that one... The micro organisms might not live, I have no idea for sure though.

Normal males grow normally- bad genetics span both genders; so I don't think your friend is right about that.

Can't wait for the frosty buds!

Yeah thats what I was thinking the microorganisms would die would this be good for seedlings since I dont want it to have any nutrients in it at 1st?? like load it up with perlite and that old dry dead dirt (water it of course)??? then transplant into some FF??

Wont be many frosty buds for a minute Im using Perky Swazi Shorty Stunner and Legs for moms cuz they're diff strains (if they're females), then I gotta clone THEN bud. I might bud diva tho think shes the same as legs and not as vigorous. We'll see tho with my luck even my lady clones will grow balls lmao. stay tuned for some Veggin tho.

And I gotta setup my hydro system soon.

Sounds like a good plan for the old soil. I normally use rooting mediums though, no nutrients in those. An aeroponic cloner would be nice one day though...

anyway, keep up the good work! and dont use "mordgrows technique" this is my very first few months of growing! haha DO learn from my mistakes though!

HaHa good to see you on here man, your first grow thread is one of the reasons I started growing. For real. Read it all the way through the first time I came upon it, great thread man!!!

Yeah it was a rocky start due to overwatering seedlings in perliteless FFOF. Bad idea lol. But live and learn right?? never make that mistake again.

Yeah luckilly they're doing ok now, my man that gave me most of the seeds came thru to check them out and told me he thinks he gave me GDP so that'd be dope!! that means Legs Diva and maybe even Perky might be GDP!! Might have to get some purple maxx.

I was planning on growing my clones and flowering in Hydro but keeping the MOMS in soil. Im thinking two seperate ebb and flows but I gotta figure it out. Really Id love to get more space then that little half of a half bath I have sectioned off for flowering, but Im planning on only flowering small clones in a cycle so hopefully I wont need that much room right? well see. Itll be a few months I think till I clone anything so I have time to figure out the spacing and shit.

dont let em go too long in soil, if they get too big transplanting is hard, espeicaly into net pots ( if theres a big root system established already its harder, you have to wash the roots gently and get as many sticking down through the net pot as possible, i couldnt have done it with out a 2nd set of hands)

the door is made out of reflective insulation ( its like thick bubblewrap stuff with reflective sides. you can find it in lowes or home depot) and a "zippper door kit" from a hydro shop (there's a link to where i bought it in my "grow room" thread along with everything else i bought the 1st time around) its kinda like a sticker, you put up the material your using for a door, slap the sticker/zipper on, un zip it, and cut inbetween the teeth of the zipper and you have a zipper door

I didnt trust the adhesive alone so i stapled the shit outta it too just to make sure it would last me for a while ( i go in and out a lot.. hehe)


I suggest "flowering clones" in cycles cut clones off a plant that is already forming buds (not too late though) for clones, they will go into bud much faster when your ready to flower them and stay smaller verticaly ( looks like your lacking on vertical space) lots of LST too to max the harvest on each plant.

i'm sure you'll do great, these plants WANT to grow, despite our best efforts to kill them.. hah

Im not transplanting from soil to hydro ( though I HAVE thought about this and wondered how it would work) Im keeping the MOMS in soil and taking clones off of them and growing them in ebb and flow system A and flowering them in ebb and flow system B.

This is of course once I have it all set up and have some shoots coming out of my moms and all that.

And I AM planning on flowering them in cycles to have the continual harvest going. Just think I may need more plants but well see whats what.

The only plant that Im flowering off the bat (assuming they're all healthy females lol) is DIVA, so maybe Ill take some clones off of her while shes flowering, is this what you mean?? can you go more into depth about this what exactly are you saying??

Do you mean take the clones early in the flowering stage and put them in veg, then when Im ready to flower them for real they will go faster??? Is this true??? thats dope man, if thats what you mean thats VERY VALUABLE information for me man.

yeah, i dont berate people for missing a thread on here. theres TONS of information to sift through.


you WILL need substantialy more plants when running cycles. search "perpetual harvest" or something similar in advanced grow and look for Al. B. Fuct's thread, its got a great basic model

I'm sure by now you already have your answer for the flowering clone.. you can see one in my thread actualy ( i call it the mutant plant)

Not sure what you mean, 6 out of 7 plants that Im growing are candidates for mothers, cuz they're diff strains. So Im thinking of flowering one and keeping 6 if they're females as moms. So are you suggesting that I scrog the mothers or are you saying next time do a 4 plant scrog?? In my mind I was envisioning 6 bon sai mothers offering enough clones for a continual harvest but not sure how thats going to pan out.

And now with the "flowering clones" idea Im rethinking everything too, so things are up in the air. This is my first time, so Im still getting things right. Pics either later tonight or tomorrow.
