IM SO FRUSTRATED!!!!

I flushed Stunner with like 8 gallons of high ph R/O and I still cant get her stabilized!!

I get it to look ok (ph) and then I mix up a little brew with some nutes and some calmag and ph balance the mix, then pour the mix in and test the runoff and its out of whack again, back down to like 5 again!!!

Im so pissed Im literally considering pulling stunner. I want to scream this is fucking bullshit - and of course out of my 3 ph meters I get 3 diff readings so I really have no idea what my runoff really is

I gotta go chill out man heres the canopy . check them out before they die

go get some calibration fluid for your meters asap

It'll pull through but you gotta have the right tools for the job

what's the PH of your brew?

Bah! IMgreen beat me too it while I was trying to figure out what Stunner's growing in. I've read so many of these journals that it's hard to keep track of who's doing what lol.

But yeah, what ^he^ said lol. Make sure you're problem isn't with the meters themselves (been there, done that lol).

Ive got calibration fluid, 7.01 AND 4.01

I calibrate my one meter to 7.01 then when I stick it in some 4.01 it reads 3.83

I calibrate my hannah that calibrates to both 7.01 and 4.01 and it says its calibrated and then when I test my runoff and compare what it reads to the vial test (which HAS to be accurate) they're not the same. Then I test the runoff on my other meter that I calibrated to 7.01 and it reads something diff then both.

Man I gotta get a truncheon, thats what it is. Even when I get the runoff to 6.5 then I pour balanced (6.8) solution through it the runoff is back down around 5?????

shit is shitty man. but yes I have ph calibration solution AND ppm calibration solution

I gotta smoke some bowls man

you CAN test runoff in hydro I believe, at least in ebb flow, just test the return

a little discoloration wont kill your plant or your harvest, I've gotten 5+ oz off a plant i was sure was on its last legs. haha

just keep tryin to nurse her back to life, and keep flushing

I think this is another subject where I like hydro more than soil. when theres an issue, I can completely correct it with one solution change. no hidden bits of dirt that i have to keep pouring water on.

Thanks for the reassurance man, means a lot coming from you, They're still budding up like you say but I know they arent getting what they need and they wont flower to their full potential. As I say next round will be a healthy plant, if I cant nurse Shorty mom back to full health (she has cal def and probably ph issues) then Ill bud Margie next. If I can keep margie healthy till next round shell make a great scrog.

Ill have a truncheon within a month mark my words, then I should be set, I trust my ppm meters.

Ps I agree with you on the hydro thing MORD, Im budding out my big soil plants and then keeping micro moms in soil and budding out dro clones from there on out

I might end up trying organics tho once I get good at this to compare taste/quality between good organics like what Postman is doing and dro.

PPS I swear I noticed a lot more growth when I used the grow big in my veg ebb flow (with the margie clone that Im now flowering) than with lucas, probably just more ppm back then (im at 650 ppm now think I was at like 900 then), but just in case it makes a diff I threw a LITTLE growbig into my veg tray, we'll see how it affects growth

Any chance your calibration fluid has gotten contaminated? Or for that matter, is the vial stuff maybe messed up? Dunno. From what little I know about meters, I'd be somewhat inclined to trust the Hanna, even over the vial method.

Calibration liquid is brand new str8 out of bottle, the vial liquid is pretty solid I think, the hannah is a great meter but its pretty old, its a hand me down from rump and I think he said it might not work too great, the probe might need replacing. I DO trust the hannah but it takes it SOOO long to get to the reading - its more of a meter that ur supposed to have in the rez at all times so it takes a minute to dial it in.
