Is your intake in the light only and is your light sealed? Do you have an exhaust for your box too? I run my exhaust fan on my veg box @ 12 volts and run my intake fan @9 volts. They are both 6" computer fans. But I have a T5 2 footer in the box not a HPS. That's a perfect. 74.5 degrees average with 43% RH. I need some moisture so I have a glass of water in the box. It evapoates every 4 days or so. Hope that helps. ![]() |

PASSIVE INTAKE You don't really need intake fans, take em out and see for yourself... you'll see |

nice job man!
those clones look nice.. how long do you wait to pull more clones from them? I have one about as big as the 1st pic and i'm not sure if it's cool to start cloning or not. gl, AW

TY AW, as far as cloning I think it depends on what you want to do, i.e. what size/shape mom you want. If you want real little bon sai moms I would start cloning and pruning even earlier than the first pic you refer to, which is Cruella after shes had many a clone cut from her. I never get my bon sai as small as I want them, I always wait too long and keep them too big, so if small bon sai is your aim start right now. If you want more established, bushier moms than I have you might want to wait a little longer for the main shoots to develop a little. I like to keep mine small, I want them even smaller than I have. The ideal size of a clone for me (after hearing this from R) is like 1 1/2 to 2 " long. very small. AL B FUCT clones them really big. So both situations will work it just depends on what you want to do. Again I'm no expert at this

it could hurt.. my last grow i had an 8" intake fan as my only intake.. when i removed it and made the intake hole bigger (12" x 12") the temps dropped like 10 degrees. If you have a strong enough exhaust then a nice sized passive is better than an intake fan imho.

I'd be willing to bet intake fans could easily cut down your airflow
I have two 8" intakes (passive) and a single 8" exhaust (powered) in a pretty big flower chamber (7'x6'x9' tall) and I fully exchange air every couple minutes without a really good blower or inline fan... And I also have a question for you... whats a good res temp? generally speaking is fine... |

I agree. Passive intakes would prob clear that up. Forcing air OUT is a better option. The passive intakes will pull what the enclosure needs, and what the active exhausts. Balance, if you will.

Ebb-n-flow, and other moving-water type systems where the roots aren't sitting in the actual nute solution will tolerate even higher temps, but not lower.
