looks good

Damn, them plants look perfect. i love your setup too, i can't wait till i can get a big nice setup fully automated. how much $$$ you got put in it?

just a thought: in your pics, it looks like the airflow sucks air in from outside your hydrohut then through each of the lights, then through the carbon filter (released inside the hydro hut). doesn't that defeat the purpose of air cooling the lights and removing odor?

if you had the output of the lights go directly to an available hydro hut "port" and gave the carbon filter its own itake and exhaust (exhaust either in hut or out an open hut port) then the temps should drop in the hut and the smell would be removed better, because the way it is now, the heat from lights is being blown inside the hut, and the air being forced through the carbon filter is already odor free cuz its comming from outside the hut, while the air inside the hut (with the smell) doesn't even get blown through the filter.

i'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything, it just confused me cuz i've never seen it set up that way before. anyways.......nice plants man, can't wait to see pics of your purple kush in late flower.

Not sure how much I've spent exactly, a few grand or so I bet. There isn't much more to buy now and we harvested so they money is coming back now. Not having to buy weed puts so much extra money in my pocket... It's amazing how much I used to buy!

About the carbon filter and air cooled lights- It is sucking air through the carbon filter, through the lights, and out of the tent. Just imagine the inline fan reversed from what you thought and it would make a lot more sense.

I would have to be the worst gardener in the world to do something like that; my plants would be dead. I would be sealing their fate in a 200+ degree tomb. (plus the risk of fire would be HUGE)

@420-420-

Ya the clones have been really slow growing, that's for sure. I'm not sure if they are switching back over to veg though because they had started to flower. (maybe that's what is taking so long for them to root and start growing more?) I also over-fed them with some Clonex solution using less than full strength, it was like 800 ppm... I guess you have to go half-strength on everything. They were starting to turn dark green and then I noticed the tips were burnt... So I know that slowed them down too. They should be fine though, marijuana is a very hardy plant.

hahah, i get your light setup now, its so simple, i just missed it, classic stoner mistake i think the thing that threw me off though is even know the way you have it set up, doesn't seem like a bad idea, i've always seen the air cooled lights with a dedicated intake/exhaust. your way saves the use of 2nd duct fan, which is nice, but you would have to change it if you wanted to use co2

by the way, where did you get purple kush from? I love purple kush and all the OG strains

When I move I'm adding another 600 watt light and venting the lights with a 8 in vortex fan and sealing the tent except for the 6 in ecoplus and carbon filter to vent at night and drop the humidity when it goes up during lights on, and use CO2.

We got the clones from a friend that is growing too. They aren't doing very well right now but hopefully they pull through. I burned them with Clonex I don't exactly need a miracle considering how hardy marijuana can be, but it sure is annoying. I should have learned by now.

Anyways I finally got the final round (in this current house we are in) of clones cut last night and they are incubating right now in their clone tray on top of a heat mat. This time the light is further away than before (which I didn't plan on, the kush clones are on top of a bucket so I could put a fan on them) and I noticed it actually did them good. They didn't wilt overnight like before. I'll take a picture of it tonight to show you what I'm talking about.

The clones have preflowers on them (the lower stuff flowers much slower than the top- the tops are forming little trichomes already and are coming out of the budlet stage) because this is the beginning of the second week of flower IT'S BIG BUD TIME! LOL and I should have cut them sooner but didn't have the time with all that was going on in my life. I had a family reunion on top of a harvest last weekend to contend with! It was probably 10 hours total of trimming, maybe more counting the popcorn and we were up late doing it. I'm running on 5 hours of sleep two days in a row working a full time job too.

I have heard that you can't clone later in flower but I know of a guy who always takes clones 20 days into 12/12 and we were about 14 days- 7 days to stretch and start flowering and 7 days of official flowering after that. It's just a few hairs here and there, no bud sites on them or anything. We'll see what happens, not wilting overnight is a great sign though. Now the plants have nothing but nice big branches that are in the premium-intensity light zone, everything down below has been cut off now. My plants don't look like a n00b grew them this time. Thanks Grasscity!!!

Shug, the Mazar plant I'm revegging is still looking dormant for now. It's mostly eating the buds or the buds are dying either or. It's been a week and it looks the same, hopefully we see some activity soon!

Really nice set up you go there.. Everytime I see it, it gets even better. I like it more and more every time... Almost to the point I wanna ask.... Can I come over and grow at your house? LOL... Anyone have some space I can pitch my tent hehe....

Your good to grow now. Big boy style it seems... Plenty of light, temps are under control... Hell this is gonna be a good grow. Your effort, research, and investments should pay off in no time now. Good luck

It would be an honor! Shall I ready the bong? Roll out the red carpet???

Thanks a lot Postman!

It would be awesome if we could share growrooms and varieties would be more available to all of us! I pray I'm alive the day it's a reality for all of us!

Just get the BBQ ready.. Some dry rubbed ribs sounds delicious right bout now

Hopefully someday it will be reality.. It would be cool to have a group a growers picking a few strains each, running them all, and keeping the best plants from each variety to share with the group. Giving each grower the oppurtunity of trying the "best" of many varieties in a much shorter time period... This is done pretty much by many already, but it would be nice to have the freedom, and be able to do it freely on a larger scale..

Could you imagine if all grasscity was able to swap, and trade, then get together and sample all that is grown, and created.. That would be some good times for sure... Damn I got to make it to Amsterdam one of these days and experiance the cups, and breeder competitions, and freedom.

I guess we all could meeet up in the DAM

Ya, that's my dream too... It would be so awesome to be able to try: Hashberry, Satori, Sour Diesel, Strawberry Cough, AK47, Purple Kush, Blue Mystic, Pure Power Plant and all the other great strains we all are growing right now.

But about the meetup in A-dam...

That's a great idea! I am planning on going to Amsterdam to try a bunch of different strains so I know what I'm getting myself into next time I order seeds.

We should have a get-together for a weekend out there! It would be one hell of a crazy thread!!!

Here's the final round all getting ready to go off- the Kush are looking kinda sickly from their fert burn but are coming back it seems, and their cubes are starting to grow algae on them from not being covered. I haven't had the time to build the system for them and I might have to wait until Saturday. They should be fine until then, the algae isn't severe and they have been growing really slow regardless.

Shug got a little burned too because she drank too much of her water too fast and spiked the ppm and ph LOL not as serious as it sounds but the leaves are definitely curling. Can't wait to get controllers to avoid this sort of thing... But she is doing fine and hopefully by next week she should be shooting out new growth all over.

My new R/O!!! It is the slowest trickle of water imaginable (took 8 hours to make 17 or so gallons of water) It says 100 gallons a day but it really didn't live up to the rating, that's for sure. I was up last night yet again late and only got 4 hours of sleep. I had to wake up and turn off the R/O and mix the nutrients before I went to work all day.

The ph adjustment with R/O water is totally different than with filtered tap water. You go by drops to get the ph to the proper level, instead of using whole eyedropperfuls (1mL) to adjust it. The difference in the amount that is used compared to filtered water is huge.

Before I get ahead of myself I must say that there is a chance that I might be leaving the site soon, and if that is the case I want to say you all have been great and I appreciate all the support and knowledge you have given me. If not I'll keep growin with ya for awhile It's something I can't really talk about in public but I just wanted to let everyone know because there is a good chance I will have to leave. Things happen though, maybe I'll get to stay

Hornby will take my place for the rest of this grow if that happens, the rest of the thread would come after harvest instead of in updates. We are just really pressed for time lately, but things are about to get better. Just making a lot of sacrifices now to get there.

GoodStuff and Postman - From 2 posts up, I bet here at GC, we ALL have that dream on the daily! I know I have been finding more and more growers this past year too, I was amazed and impressed at some of my friends covert ops. Anyway, just wanted to share in the dream brothers...

What an awesome dream... An underground league of growers... Sounds like my kinda party!

I'll drop ya a line cage no matter what happens!

The clones I just cut have been doing great though! Much better than the last round, that's for sure. I guess clones need less light intensity when they are rooting, because they wilted before and the only explanation would be light intensity from the T-5 being too close before. This time they are all lively and strong, with no wilt and no burn. Light nutrient and low light... Seem to go hand in hand I guess More light, more nutrient too.

Sucess!!!

This morning I saw the taproot on the bottom of a Kush clone!!! They have been coming back from being burned by Clonex because I used it full strength like a dumbass. Finally they are rooting, because I was starting to get concerned. They have been going like 2 weeks now or some shit! And just a single tiny root on only one of them. It could be from the fact the rockwool is exposed to a lot of light and the roots aren't liking it. But I will be building a system for them over the weekend because they are definitely about to do their thing. I am really happy they pulled through!

Also in other news the regenerating Mazar plant, Miss Shug, is now showing signs of new life! A bud on top shot out a bunch of hairs which was strange and looked like it grew a little bit but the cool thing is leaves are starting to come out of buds around the upper middle of the plant. I saw the first shoot this morning, it's been about 12 days or so since it was put into the veg tent. I was totally prepared for it to take longer, but it's doing it's thing now!

All of the 14 clones I cut are alive and well and never wilted. A couple have a leaf they aren't supporting and are in the process of eating it, I'm debating cutting them off because the others without this problem are not eating their leaves. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I know I've been told to cut off the big leaves on clones, these weren't big but it happens I guess. I'm hoping I don't burn them this time, but if I do next time I'm going to be trying different strengths on each clone until I get the right strength.

The flowering plants are doing very well and the Mazar are flowering strong. The Blueberry are a little behind but are definitely about a week into flowering at this point. I will be taking some new pictures soon! Have to raise the light over the Mazar as they have been stretching, the Blueberry stays more short and stocky though which I like. The Mazar plants are huge compared to them, which remember my first grow- the Blueberry plant took up a whole side of the tent under it's own 400 watt light. Light in veg is VERY important. It can turn a dwarf into a monster. Or a monster into a dwarf.

Over the weekend we will be adding airstones to the rez, raising the buckets on plywood and re-routing the ducting through the attic. I'm also building a custom system for the Kush, can't wait to try it out!

Thanks for stopping by, I was just really excited so much is going on in the veg tent! The Kush have roots and Shug is starting to regenerate!

I straight had to nurse those Kush clones back to health, they would have died without me and I almost killed them on top of it again... Thank God marijuana is so hardy and strong.
