flowering journal

Whats up city?

I switched to 12/12 about 5 days ago and I'm starting a journal to get assistance and guidance thru my 1st bagseed crop. I was originally going to be doing an all organic grow but yesterday at the hydro shop I was told that all of Foxfarms products were all organic and bought the Open Sesame. While reading a foxfarm brochure on the way home I realized it wasn't organic but decided that its not that big of a deal and I am going to keep it anyway.
I also went to an oriental store down the street and bought some Kelp. Last night my 3 (maybe 4) females received their first feeding (1/2 tsp) of Open Sesame before lights out. The next watering should be with the kelp I picked up. Lights are still out but when they come on I'll snap a couple pix for ya. This is the farthest I've ever got so if anyone can give me any tips or if anyone has used the 3 part soluble pack (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching) I'd like some input. I was also looking for Blackstrap Molasses at the store and could only find regular molasses. Is regular molasses fine? If not, where can i find backstrap?

Pictures up after I get back from shopping =)

Picture update =)

heres the picture update,

I did a little research before I went to the store and picked up

I read its not as good as the blackstrap but I read as long as its unsulphured I should be gravy.

I switched the lights before I got the plants I wasnt going to keep inside out, so Im ending up keeping 4 females. The other 4 females I've got are going outside tonight (not enough light or space)

I am going to post up pics of the plants now, but they will be their own post. so each post is just of the one plant (4 total). Lemmie know what cha think

This is the only plant that didn't get fed last night because I was planning on putting it outside cuz ITS HUGE! 42" tall! I am repotting into fox farm oceans forest tonight and mixing bone meal in with the soil along with some eggshells. the bottom branches are a little scraggley but overall the plant is doing good

Indica 1

this baby is interesting...
I wanted to try the 48 hrs of darkness to see how fast it would start flowering. I started on the 12/12 for about 4 days and it was starting to bud nicely. I switched it back to 18/6 for about another month and thats why the top has so many branches
It smells very funky!

listerine bottle for size comparison

sorry for picture size

Lst

here is a plant i started learning LST on. the leaves are small as hell. they are all 1/2 the size of the leaves on all my other plants. this plant was given to me stretched like crazy so I LST it to encourage branching. This is the 1st time I've ever done this, so I dont think I did a bad job at it.

Alright.
Well you have done better than most so far, but not the best. I think your earlier problem(with the dead plants) was not mainly the blood meal, but a deficiency of Phosphorus, which made your leaves have a rotting appearance. The second deficiency could have been Potassium, which makes the leaves have the blotchy, dot lookinkin things.

You shouldnt have given it ANY nutes till it was at least a 2 weeks old or so, and even then you should only give about 1/4 of the recominded dose from the start then ease them into the nutes.

Your problem again is that your getting too happy on the nutes again. The curling is mainly caused by nute burn. And it IS very hard to overnute wit organics.

Now some of my own questions...
What day of flowering is it? wat lights do u have? fans? can i get a pic of you whole setup/closet w/ fan and lights w/ and w/o plants if you can?

Hope i helpped, later

hell yea you did. the only thing I was feeding them with was 5-1-1 fish emulsion and I was only feeding them 1 tbs per gallon each time.(once every other watering) I'll go up there and take some pix for you.

thanks again,

Im a Complete Newbie when it comes to flowering stage. since i never
made it that far. so setting the plants in darkness no light what so ever
will help flower quicker? or am i trippin..

would the temps
have to be sum what cool?

and then set back outside durring the day.

i have a storage shed 15 ft long x 4 ft deep.
with a roof like a house gutters haha..
but im thinking i could throw 6 good size plants
in buckets in it. at the nitetime than when i get
off of work at 5 am place them outside spread
out in trees. but also im afraid of deer. fox bugs..
my grow set up is all inground so not much darkness
cause that damn moon. (i heard the plants can grow
from the light of the moon) aam i trippin.

ill check this in a week or two

No putting plants in uncessary darkness does not make them flower quicker.
It actually slows down the process due to less time to do photosynthesis.

On another note, mannnn that one sativa that has all of the growths at the top really caught my attention, pls keep us updated I would love to see the bud growth and yeild on that plant. So many bud sites it's rediculous. +rep
