NUMBERS

Allright peeps, the numbers are in.

Remember the setup?
3x 8 gallon containers under 1 month 108W then 2 months 216W fluro and then 2 months 400W HPS with

1x SCROG yielded 62.7 g (nice)
2x SCROG yielded 34.3 g (WTF??)
2x LST yielded 80.1 g (DING!)

totalling 177.1 gram. A personal best!

That's right people, in my case 1 container with 1x SCROG yielded more then one container with 2x SCROG.

Maybe there's some truth in the 1 plant per container story....
Then again, the container with 2x LST kicks ass with more then 20% extra yield compared to the second best, 1 container with 1 SCROG.

So in my grow, LST pretty much beat the crap out of SCROG.

My average power usage

month 1 : 108x18 = 1944
month 2 : 216x18 = 3888
month 3 : 216x18 = 3888
month 4 : 400x12 = 4800
month 5 : 400x12 = 4800
-----------------------
19320 / 78 = 247.7 W average
177.1g / 247.7W = 0.71 g/W. Another personal best!

0.108 kW x18 hours x30.5 days = 59.292 kWh x1 month = 59.292 kWh.
0.216 kW x18 hours x30.5 days = 118.584 kWh x2 months = 237.168 kWh.
0.400 kW x 12 hours x 30.5 days = 146.4 kWh x2 months = 292.8 kWh.
totalling = 598 kWh for the entire grow for approx. 22 eurocent per kWh = 129.64 euro.
Add 20.36 for seedling soil, soil, coco peat, lime, epsom salt and my cheap ass MG 15-30-15 water soluable nutes and my total investment is about 150 euros.
150 euros / 177.1 grams = about 85 eurocents per gram.
HA!

Let me repeat that 85 eurocents per gram.
100% free of pollutants. No sand, no hairspray or water to add on weight. Perfect.
Straight from the soil.
Dry as bone.

So all in all Cali Orange Bud turned out to be my best grow ever.

I grow only from seed.
Diversity in genetics is a good thing!
It makes your plants less susceptible to total crop loss by potential pathogens.
Individuals rule!

Well you would need to grow from clones to experiment at all- you have to have a controlled variable.

That would explain the confusing results though.

You're right. My experiments have their limitations, but that's normal.
You'd need alot more to scientically prove or confirm my results.
But that's not the purpose of my experiments either.
They are just my small contribution to this forum.

That cannot be said because they were not all clones. The LST plants could have had the better genes.

In order to draw facts you need to have controlled variables- one set of genetics, and one environment.

Next time try it with clones and see what happens.

SCROG is the same thing as LST just using a screen- the screen could have blocked available light, or the plants could have had better genetics that were LST'd.
