Hermie Pics!

Well, I've attached some pics for you all to see the sad sad news......I'm so upset...however, I just ran out of my middies that i picked up a few weeks ago yesterday...so maybe it was meant to be...because I was thinking of calling some old friends that I don't really want to be around. Strange how things happen sometimes.
Anyhow...here's the pics.

I have one girl!

White Widow is a female. It's the slowest growing plant I've ever seen to be honest, but we'll see how it moves once it's in flower. I didn't even bother trying to clone because I could never get a branch long enough to cut...but now it's about 6" I suppose. Very Very Indica...short fat leaves...at least she's female. I'm going to crack my next white widow now since I have one in flower.

Have you heard of Dutch Master Feminizer? I hear it can stop the mostly-female plants from developing male flowers.

How long has it been flowering? I hope the stuff works because I need to use it on the Blueberry, it keeps forming a few male flowers here and there about 7-8 weeks into flower.

You think that stuff could help us out man?

Never heard of it man. To be honest, I have such a limited amount of space, I just chopped it. I went and pulled two Blue Mystic Clones from the Cove and tossed them in there. I'm not worried about it...I got a clone from it, so I'll try to grow it again in a few months...The herb is f'n great, even though it is 3 weeks early...so I'll need to try again to check out the full flavor. Hopefully next time it won't hermie on me.

Mystic your grow journal is really fun and a great learning experience.

I had a few questions though if you don't mind asking. you seem to be very thourough with your write up!

-Do you mind being specific on what kind of CFL's you are using?
-When you treated your clones, were the stems under the water, or above the water? i couldn't tell
-When you were vegging your clones, what kind of fluorescent was that you were using?
-Where did you cut the plants when you took the clones? (top, middle, bottom), and HOW many inches were they??

EDIT: i am kind of confused on WHERE exactly to cut for a clone. For example, do you cut the STEM coming off the main cola? Or do you cut the stems where the nodes would be. do you get it?

I appreciate it in advanced!

Updates...

Mischief - -Do you mind being specific on what kind of CFL's you are using?
-Most of my CFLs are Sylvania 100W/23W 2700K. Some are Helvetica same set up though...just lowe's or walmart brand i think.

-When you treated your clones, were the stems under the water, or above the water? i couldn't tell
- When they first started bubbling the stems were as far away from the water as possible and them still getting splashed a lot...Basically you want it to be moist, but not submerged.

-When you were vegging your clones, what kind of fluorescent was that you were using?
- I'm using Ott Lights 4 x 2' bulbs, BUT, I'm planning on switching to CFLs for more intensity...or possibly a small small MH if the heat wouldn't be too bad.

-Where did you cut the plants when you took the clones? (top, middle, bottom), and HOW many inches were they??
-Some were from the top, some from bottom...none from middle really "technically" They were shorter than they should have been probably...2" 3 at most.

EDIT: i am kind of confused on WHERE exactly to cut for a clone. For example, do you cut the STEM coming off the main cola? Or do you cut the stems where the nodes would be. do you get it?
-I'm cutting off the branches off the main stalk personally. I didn't have enough growth yet on my nodes on the branches, so I just cut a branch....hope this helps???

blackmore - Pics below brother!

Here is a nugget shot of Bag Seed 1...Not bad for a hermie!!!

Pulled 4 of my clones and threw them in 2 liters today and then chucked them in the flower cab....here's the pre-2 liter picture for 2 of them anyhow...That's the white widow in the back.

Sativa Diva and Durban Poison I had going were both chopped today, you can see their pictures here...They were Dudes!!! Good genetics in the package though apparently....
Sativa Diva

Durban Poison

Here's that white widow...I trimmed off those lower 2 branches, so now it's just the top 4...should flower nicely.

Popped another Indoor Mix. Growing great...No pics yet. Stretched a little, but I'm off to get better lights for Veg cab..maybe a 70 W MH???
Full Cab Shot for you...

OMG thank you so much Mystic for your detailed answers, I appreciate every word!

I am happy that your plants are doing just fine with the new soil. sorry 2 of them ended up males but they did look sexy.

I can't wait to see the end results!

Hey Mystic,

I must have skipped a couple of days of your journal cause I just noticed your hermie problem. I'm not seeing the Dutch Master Feminizer on their website, but another grower just tipped me off to their Reverse product, which will, supposedly, stop the hermie problem even after it started. I'm looking into finding some for my grow. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Keep me posted bro....

Here's an update for all you out there...you'll love these pics.
I've sprouted 4 new "girls"...2 Durban Poison and 2 White Widow. The White Widow I have in flower now just isn't mom material...grew way too slowly, but it's budding nicely at least.

Here's some photos of the flowering girls that will be coming out of the cabinet in about 2 weeks to 3 weeks. I'm probably going to pull around day 60-63 it looks like.

Here is Blue Mystic 1...my most uniform plant. I've pulled some clones from this beauty and 3 of them just got put into the flower cab. I have 2 more clones from it still in veg.

Here is Blue Mystic 2...a Stretcher...but still a nice plant. I have 2 of it's clones in flower now. This girl is f'n stinky. Really can smell the skunk genes...crazy smelly. I'm glad I have this filter now.

Here is the crazy deformed in a way, Bagseed #2 - #1 got chopped due to hermie. Now this plant has grown slow, but has really thick "leathery" indica leaves and it's frosting nicely. This plant is about 2 weeks behind the Blue Mystics.

Now, here's a Bud Shot of some samples before and after drying a.k.a. defrosting in the Microwave...

I hope you enjoy. I'll get some more shots of the bonsai and my veg room next time.
Oh yeah, I also picked up some new potting solutions...IE grow bags. So far they are a pain in the ass, but I think I filled them too much...and I'm needing some 1/2 gallon ones for vegging, because the 1 gallon fill my cove up too quickly.

In any case, stick around! Here's the clones crowding the flowering cab.

Add on...I picked up Mexican Guano, Jamaican Guano, BioBizz Bloom Stimulator and a few other extras that should make my mission towards organic more of a reality.
