| Fimmed
Well, I decided to be adventurous...SO, I fimmed these new girls on their 2nd set of 5 finger leaves. They are doing wonderfully now! They are each about 6 inches tall, but one has brownish speckled leaves...Iron or something I think? They are just in little 16 oz plastic cups currently and I haven't done any ferts yet??? I'm using Fafard Soil. Any guesses? Also, should I PH balance my big pot of soil prior to transplant? PH of soil is a little low. |

| thanks Ganja!!! I flushed the soil as best as I could with it being in cups. I'm going to put the soil I'm going to transplant to in my buckets today and start flushing the soil BEFORE i put my plants in there. Thanks again brother! |

I'm going to transplant the same day I harvest. I have a ton of branching so far, and I'm going to pull 3 to 4 clones from each first. Should I take clones from the lower part or upper part of the plant?

You want to take clones from the lower part there are more hormones in the lower branches than the higher ones. Once you take the clone 45 degree it and then make a split in it, add a rooting gel and also cut all your leaves in half it will help with transpiring. Keep humidity high. (All info in Jorge Cervantes Book on Marijuana Horticulture) It is sold at barnes and nobles for 25 dollars 512 pages it is bad ass. Splitting the stem in half like an inch makes way more roots. And it happens more universally and spreads quicker. Good luck, my first 2 attempts failed but that was before I got this book |

| Thanks guys!
Right now the lower branches are starting to show their 2nd set of leaves...is it too soon to pull the clones...they are pretty small so far...

Well I LST'd the stalk and fimmed the new branches...so my "clones" are about 2-3 inches right now...so I'll wait for a few more days. Also...do I cut the clone right up against the stalk?

| Pre-Flush Started
Mixed my new 3 gallon garbage can "pots" today. 1/3 ECW 1/3 Perilite 1/3 Fafard Soil 4tbsp of lime Completed soaked and drained each pot 3 times. Will do runoff test tomorrow with PH corrected water. I just flushed with tap water due to amount of water needed. |

Well, I'm running tight on my schedule...so Ip ut the girls on 12/12 already. I wish I could veg another week or two, but I'm out of time and don't want to jeopardize budding time. My last plant yielded a little over 2 ounces, but vegged 5 weeks, so I'm hoping to get 3-4 ounces on these girls...but I'm cloning them too. |

I always take clones from the top or middle part of the plant.. I find those just to be in the healthiest shape, and more in shape for growth once rooted.. the ones on the bottom seem to have longer spacing between nodes, naturally as they are further away from the light. I like starting off with clones that have a few nodes, and places for new growth to grow from as soon as they root. I've done it with either though 100%, so no problem there.. try a few from top, and some from down low and see what happens.. Plus with my mother plants I always pull clones from from the top as they need trim downs. it works out as it creates one hell of a bushy momma pulling from the top.. All those cuts have access to light to keep on growing.. if I cut my mothers down low eventually I'd have something looking like a long stem with a bush on the end
