its a very good strain, comparable to PPP yield wize.. My buddy grows this outdoors with great success... has a mild sweet taste to it the high isnt as knockout as ppp though, which for most is probably a good thing anyways
![]() System looks good, but you will have to decide soon which you want to use, its set up pretty nice right now for ebb/flow, NFT wount work very well for you in that large of a square footage.. So my guess you will end up with ebb/flow which means you need to start thinging right now on putting in medium in your tray.

Hey wolf...what strain is ppp? I think what i'm going to do is just use the drippers throughout the whole grow. But i purpously got a tray with a raised lid like that so i didn't have to put any medium in the tray. eventually when i get some $$$ i'm going to get a fogger so i need the roots to hang out in the open.
just curious.... you said nft wouldn't work well? with the pump i have it can empty out the whole reservoir in about 2 minutes, the only problem is that the grow tray can't empty out as fast as it gets filled, i'll have to add a second drain tube. |

Check out my freebie seeds...
when i ordered my ice cream seeds, i got 5 free seeds BlockHead strain... and it looks amazing... also the other day i was got a gram of "KILLER KUSH" from a local dispensary, and i got a seed in it. so when i grow it, i will be happy either way, if its a female, good, i'll grow it and smoke it.....if its a male, i will breed it with a female blockhead seed to get some blockhead x killer kush, if that turned out with the purple pheno's.....it would deffinately be cloned. |

slow start
my ICE CREAM plants are off to an extremely slow start. i don't what the problem is, i've never had this happen before. look at these pics (compared to the pic above of seedlings taken 3 days earlier) its like for 3 days they've been doing nothing... this breed is supposed to be a fast grower too....
anyways, if anyone else has had this problem, let me know what to do... my ph is about 5.8 i'm using advanced nutrients, what they suggest for seedlings is around 600ppm but i diluted mine a little more so its at about 475ppm, no sign of nute burn or deffiency as far as i can tell, the drippers i'm using are adjustable from 0-10 gph and are set low for now. i've tried shutting them off, to let the little rockwool there is dry out and i've tried running constantly nothing seems to help, they are just stuck... temps are between 70-80 degrees F, 400w mh on 24/7 nutrient solution is 71.6 degrees F. just wondering if anyone can tell me what my prob is.....in my other grows, 3 days after nutrients have been applied, they are usually on there 2-3 internode growth already, but now its like they are not even growing ![]() |

definitely take that light down, and put on an oscillating fan. The reason there growing straight up to the point where they fall over is because there growing up in search of more intense light. The fan will strengthen the stems so they dont fall over and will also provide a necessary air flow.

the only thing i could think of why my plants are not growing right, is maybe lack of oxygen to the roots.... so i made this temporary bubble bucket, with < 1 gallon so it will have maximum oxygen, plus also added extra hydrogen peroxide to the solution.... plants seem to be growing slightly faster now, but still not @ 100%
a few zip ties + an old box from the garbage + garbage bags = free bubble bucket... haha Last edited by balla420 : 05-20-2007 at 01:05 PM. |

just curious. either way, i'm sticking with the drippers for this grow, the reason i am interested though, cuz when i get the fogger (may or may not be before the end of this grow), the NFT will be the most ideal method to use in combination with the fogger. that way it will have a film of nutrients on the bottom for bigger roots, and unlimited supply of oxygen and nutrients combined (the fog) for the thinner fine hair roots hanging in air to suck up. problem solved..
omfg.....i don't believe that shit.. my ph meter was fucked up. thats why my plants weren't growing right. it was off by about 1.2 so i thought it was at 5.5ph but actually was at 4.3ph i calibrated about 3-4 weeks ago, thought it would be good to go..... It took me a while to think to check it because i've been using the same ph meter to monitor my other grow (blueberry scrog: 2 weeks into flowering), and as you can see from pics, it is doing perfectly fine. that is the weirdest part about this whole thing.....i've been feeding my other plant with 4.3ph nutrient solution (probably since the beginning of 12/12) and they've been doing fine. i just raised the ph yesterday back up to 5.5 so we'll see if the growth speeds up or anything...maybe that strain just likes really low ph
anyways....it was a good day yesterday when i fixed the problem, now i can get back on schedual....the growth rate has already sped up a lot the roots doubled in size, and the tops grew 2 new sets of leaves in 2 days... next week i will add the greenfuse (growth stimulator) |
