Mad props man! I, like you, live in southern Ontario, and I, like you, do a vegetable garden every year. I don't think there's anything wrong with posting it on this forum. The growing principles are the same, and the process of growing nets you an end result (in this case, food, and I'm pretty sure than anyone and everyone who's tried weed appreciates food). Glad to hear it.

No it's all good I think GC should make a seperate forum though.Where's all the other fruit
lol the only fruity thing is watermelon, there's so much more that would probably grow good in Canada(I think?)like blueberries, raspberries, straberries, other melons.I'm gonna grow some seedless watermelon myself along with other stuff flowers, herbs etc.

Fruit tend to grow on trees, I know there are exceptions. grapes, berries, melons etc. I don't like cataloupe or honeymelon, just watermelon. I have a rasberry bush next to my compost, although I didn't plant it. I never really thought of fruit so much. Plus vegetable seeds are abundant at the stores whereas fruit seeds are rare.
My girlfriend got me a pack of various hot pepper seeds, so now I don't need to get a transplant. It's much more satisfying when you grow from seed yourself. So I'll soak them tonight to speed germination. They'll go into peat pellets tomorrow.

Sweet peppers are probably the easiest vegetable to grow, did you have them spaced too far?? they love being jumbled against eachother.
Dont know how much sun you get over there but by the time my peppers get to 9 inches tall they are already flowering and starting to bare its fruit... This is where i first experimented with Urea, when i saw how sweet pepper plants just going crazy over the stuff i just had to try it on my MJ plants.

Here are some pics off my phone i took some time ago..
Green/Red Sweet peppers and BeafSteak Tomatoes. Also remember Sweet pepper plants cant take too much direct sunlight, they rather the shade, tomatoes love alot of sun, soil should not remain too damp but they do require alot of water, if soil is left to dry out too much it will effect the fruit growth and you will get cracking of the skin ect ect.. Hydo Tomatoe is the easiest way to get good tomatoes all the time. PS (you have to pollenate the plant yourself if indoors, by shaking the plants to release the pollen inside the flower.

Garden Pictures
Here's a couple of angles on the garden. I've covered some of it with clear plastic to heat up the soil and allow the manure the compost a little further.
I've also covered the area where my first carrot planting will go with a portable green house, it doesn't heat up as much as the clear plastic covering, but it does. Also attached, pictures of my seed packets.

Also... I've decided to switch the location of my sweet peppers with the tomatoes. That way the tomatos will shade the peppers somewhat. Look above at my plans to understand better.
Also, if you're here reading a vegetable journal, you may be interested in my new poll. Should Grasscity Have A Forum For Non-Marijuana Gardens?

Yes good idea, put the peppers where the tomatoe plants will give them shade.
get yourself some Urea at the plant store and give them a shot when there a little bigger (especially the peppers) you'll be amazed at what you see in 2-3 days.

I think if I do use Urea, I won't buy it.
Diluting human urine 15 parts to one is safe and provides all the urea you need.

Dont agree but anyways
read the below... dont know why people are associating the Urea you buy off the shelf with Human Piss or any type of Piss.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urea#Production Heres the big difference. Grey water (g/pd)Urine (g/pd) Faeces (g/pd) Nitrogen 80 % (11) 10 % (1,5) 10 % (1,0) Phosphorus 50 % (1,0) 25 % (0,5) 25 % (0,6) Potassium 60 % (2,5) 25 %(1,0) 15 % (0,5) Human Urine contains only 10% nitrogen (something you can get from the simplest fert) Your dyluting this down by 15, that equates to less than 1% Nitrogen. Urea off the shelf is 46%, giving the plant a huge boost in energy... I've tried the Pee crap and have seen zero results from it.
