ok been awhile since my last update cos some bastard cut the wire outside my house for the internet, just got repaired today so here are a coupla pics, i was gona post 3 but i cant find the other and im too stoned to do it again i topped them and the new shoots are pretty developed now, there are also some small yellowish spots appearing on all three, not many at all but any idea what that is? not much else to report really so here it is

the light was pricey, 62 quid for ballast lamp and reflector, and iv just bought a cooltube which was 40 so thats 100 quid overall really pleased wit the results though, such lush growth! they stink too, my last load of plants are in their 6th week of flowering and they still dont really smell unless i stick my nose right near em!

so my cooltube arrived today, they even sent me a pair of scissors to get into the box! shame the cooltube was in pieces i called the place and they immediately offered to send another so thats good, itl give my fans time to arrive too so its not too bad, should have em both by tomorrow, was well annoyed when i opened the box though!

ok sorry about the lack of pics, my babies are being force flowered, got them on dark atm and gona leave em like that for 2 days, then switch to 12/12 (stil with the MH) as soon as iv sexed em its back to 18/6 at which point the screen will go up, iv bought some huge ass pots, so big i can only just fit 2 in the cupboard so i need to pull at least one male, i hope theyr all female cos then i can bestow a gift on a friend, but iv got a feeling im only gona get one outa these three, 2 of them are huge (and younger) than the sativa lookin one which sorta makes me think they might be male, really hope not as theyr doing great, if the two big ones turn out female im gona be lookin at a very bushy screen! il post some pics when they come outa their dark

more pics, iv had these three on 12/12 for the last 3 days, as soon as they show sex im killing the boy(s) and switchin back to veg light schedule, theyr lookin mighty fert burned too, all down to the feed they got of FLOWER nutes during their seedling stage, thanks to a mate for that one! anyway i think theyll be ok, any comments? check my failed fim attempt, i think all i did was stunt their growth, can someone indicate what i did wrong?!

Hey Al!

Sorry to hear about your nute issues.
They are indeed showing what APPEARS to be slight nuteburn.
But they are also showing what APPEARS to be calcium deficiency.

Then again in this photo puzzles me too, it's your 'supposed to be Indica but reminds you of Sativa' plant :



Can you get us a close up of the part I encircled?
I read somewhere that Sulpur deficiency CAN lead to thinner then usual leaves and also new leaves that stay small for there age.

All of this makes me wonder :

-what soil are you using? do you have some specs on that? (pH!)
-what kind of nutes did they get?
-do you feed them tapwater? if so what's the calcium content?

I used to words CAN and APPEAR in capitals to stress the point that problems with the soil can prevent normal nute uptake. In such a case the nutes would be present but something is preventing the plant from uptaking them....and then the last thing you'd want to do is add more nutes.
The soil issues I'm thinking of are : overwatering, wrong pH and/or eC.

Can you get us some data on the nutes and soil please?

whatsup man, haha what you circled in the picture is the result of my shit fim job, didnt do it right and the leaves have just grown back, hence the strange shape! this plant has looked like a sativa since it first popped its head outa the soil,

- im using john innes no2 mixed with 25% perlite and 25% vermiculite.
- these plants have recieved one 1/4 teaspoon per litre of iguana juice grow, apparently too much so i flushed and im not gona feed again til i transplant, my experienced friend thinks 2 are showing female, the two on the right in the last pic.










and iv finally done it! i can now leave the doors shut and the max temp is 24.8, perfect its all thanks to the ducting, i also added 2 more intake fans and carbon filtered my extractor, so now the smells gone too, only thing is the fans are quite noisy, any suggestions on muffling the sound without decreasing airflow?

right im seeing preflowers now, on all three! so iv transplanted 2 into larger pots, iv put the third in a separate cab, just gona flower it straight out i reckon, wont have to wait so long for weed that way

here are the pics, iv started some LST and have topped both plants again on their side branches, just to double check iv been doing it right...hows it look?

if you wanted to go scrog you should have cloned one of the plants you have flowering now,guaranteed female heh

how big is the screen?it's possible with a little lst you could fill it with 1 of those plants if you only get 1 female

Wait a minute.... do you mean 50% john innes no2 potting COMPOST???
The composts I've seen here are all as thick, compacted and solid as clay, and I've never seen anybody use more then 20% of that in their mix.
A man could make bricks with this stuff.
You could be suffocating those roots with to much compost.

Their website states that this stuff (compost) changes in pH over it's lifetime.
I've never heard that before...did you know this?

shit dude! never heard that before man, luckily im using no3 and not no2 lol! i remembered it wrong, im using the loambased compost, and i have probly about 30% john inness to my vermiculite and perlite in the new pots so i think its all good, whatsup atsar the backwards Rastar! yeh i could clone mate, but theyv already shown as females so im not worried i might take a coupla clones off them when they go back into veg tho, no sense wasting so good fems

not much to report except that iv pruned some of the dead leaves from the two plants in the main cab, iv got some pics of the other one which iv just put under a 125w enviro, got a coupla blues so i might wack one of them in too, should be an interesting comparison on the difference in yields you can expect between this little cfl and a 250w MH, plus i get some bud a little earlier anyway here are the pics, iv topped the main two again on side branches, if this is succesful im gona do the whole lot one more time, as soon as this is done the screens gona go in.
