I spouted each seed in small rockwool cubes in a sealed plastic bag in a cupboard. Moistened them, then blew into the bag and sealed it. When they sprouted out of the bag i put them into a Genie light 24hrs. After a couple of days I was ready to put them into the bucket.

Im using a 22/24hr Light Cycle for Veg.

Using the Outside reservoir it was easy to check things ... I kept the Ph Stable at 6.8 and the Nutes @ 0.8 EC (400ppm)

BUT Nute temp was sitting on the 27c mark!!!! Put some ICE packs in there, solved for the time being...... Looked everywhere for a chiller, big bucks.... So i grabbed a fan for $10 put it directly pointing into the res, and it colled the res down by about 4c..... So its always about 4c under room temp now

Grow room is about 28-30c .....

Day Seven in the bucket ... the roots are going strong... the taller plant has a bunch at 30cm.... Theres heaps of bubbles, I am recirculating Nutes 24/7 with Fan Cooling.

They seem to be going strong, but I have noticed a bit of Leaf Curling? Anyone?

The light is about 20" away but the fan is pushing cool air direct onto the lamp and the exhaust in the roof is sucking too .. Grabbed a pot and Screwed it onto the fan, it has alot more suction now.

Nute and PH remain the same after 9 Days, few top ups of water, (5 litres) I might do a change tomorrow and a slight increase in nutes.

They are growing about an inch a day I guess.... roots look healthy

A friend passed me on a 3 he grew from seed, white widow, mango and Skunk. They are strecthed a bit but should come up ok..

This first effort i really just want some nice female clones.. I am thinking the larger plant may be a Male....

I guess no one has been kind enough to tell you that your pH needs to be between 5.5 and 5.8. and that curling sure lookes like heat stress. Whats your current temps in there?

Thanks Lads

Hey Chimera thanks for the help, I have dropped it down to 5.6/7 as you suggested.

HOT !!!!

Our Day/Night Temp is around 28-31c all year, Humidity 60-100%, the growroom internal temp is avg about 29c, up to 31c on the real hot days. I am struggling to keep it down. Managing to keep the nutes at about 26c by constant circulation.

Any ideas?

The nute change went smoothly, just used the pumps, had a bit of trouble cleaning the tub, and the pants are small so it will be a task later on...

One thing i noticed due to the constant recirc, no salts build up, and not algae, the water was clean just like when it went in... I am wondering if could go longer between changes? If the ppm (EC) and PH remain stable? I think Hydro shops may "say" you have to change all the time so they can sell more nutes

Im using Canna, my friend is using something else, mine seem a dark green compared to his, why would that be, same strain?

My hydro centre have been great - http://www.easyindex.com.au/Hydropon...-1398-0-0.html - just got another couple of bottles today. They have a catalogue and grow guides listed there.
