i want my grow to be like that!
in fact, when i do it, my dimesions are exactly that, so i will probably have the exact same setup, except, i'm just going to head down and get some cfl's from a hardwear store, but just get a lot of them.
but thats an awsome grow.
just looking at those plants made me drool

Hey man, thanks, appreciate it, and wish you luck in your grow, tis very rewarding!

Not much has been happening with the current grow, just getting a lil bigger day by day! I have stopped using nutes now and will be using pure water for approx the next two weeks until harvest, dont want a harsh smoke now! on a side note I have germinated and had 8 plants sprout ready for outside, this is my morccon x afhgan mix so should be interesting , anyways heres a few more pics lol.

Perhaps you could bend the bugs away from the bulbs a bit, or add a bit of ventilation, to prevent to JUMMY nugs from being fried.

Also, here is some inspiration on DIY reflectors using empty beer cans.
It should make your next grow noticably better.

Good luck!

Cheers for the advice mate, I may have to try bending them a little more, but the LST is almost at the max I can go, space has just ran out!

I saw that DIY reflector you made in your grow thread and it looks awesome, but how did you connect the sockets to the wood? this is the main bit i'm curious of, I will be making a reflector for the lights for my next grow, I also plan to use a wardrobe instead of my box, which will give me slightly less depth more more width and height!

The sockets are made of porcelain, and come with a little metal piece attached to it for screws and such. (mounting bracket)
Go to a DIY shop and you should find them there, bracket included.
Only 1 or 2 euros each.
The bracket used to be L shaped but I bend them a bit, so I could screw them on the wood from the side.
The beer cans are connected together with aluminium tape and I made electric ground connection.

Like this :

I hope you can find them!
Good luck!

hmm, are they E40 connectors? the light sockets im using are porcelain, but they dont have anything at the back to attach anything to, hence my DIY guttering-U-shape, cable ties and wooden frame! thanks for reminding me about earthing the beer cans, hadnt even thought of that! thanks again!

Thumbs up What a top grow!

Mr Wicky - this grow is fuckin sweet - and even better that it's by a Brit using CFLS!!! I just hope my little exercise can live up to yours!!

I didn't spot in the diary - did you try the 13/11 light cycle you mentioned? It sounds like it should make sense; winter getting closer and all that...!?!?

How long do you reckon you've got before harvest?

Take It Easy!

I can't believe how you did it! No problems, no burned leaves! Also, only with CFL's....

Thanks mate, I have every hope for your grow also

I am going to switch to 13/11 in a day or so, I think I maybe have 2 weeks or so to go, but nothings for sure! have a friend coming over in about a week to have a look at the trichs and give me a better idea of how long I have left.

asd3reff - thanks, CFL's really do give an option to people with a little less room to grow in!

Hey mate, odour is fairly strong to be honest, if security is an issue, a carbon filter is a MUST, I will be getting one when I have my new set-up!

As for the babies they are doing fairly well right now, lots of new growth, really fattening out! they are on pure water now, although I could have more than 2 weeks left! I think its quite hard to tell! I have been told that flowering takes longer with CFL's? any facts to back this up?

On a side note, anyone from the UK going the show in telford the beginning of May?

a few pics me thinks:
