It is a screen for SCROG which is screen of Green. It is a method that trains the branches out so the plant grows wide instead of tall. This is important indoors using artificial light because it keeps the branches all at the same level much like LST Low Stress Training. When the branches are all at the same level,they will receive equal amounts of light.

I suffered a air pump failure a week ago and did not notice it until too late thinking my plants were nut burned........

When I added molasses to my nutrient regimen......mixing well........it clogged my pump and I read a lot of good shit about molasses so I'm not going to diss on it because I should have scrubbed that bubbledisc every time I changed nutrients and should have known.........

But I'm still reeling from this shit I have a few buds hanging to dry rest I'll probably use hash for...

I'll be traveling often this summer so I can't start up again for a few months so reallly really blows here... heh really wanted to taste the real bubleberry not the shit it is now .....

Weird I would never have thought the plant would have died that fast but asphyixiation is a bitch..........Bet your ass I'm going to buy a couple bad ass air pumps with some the flexi bubble going all around plus couple bubble discs because fuck this is bad.
I am embarrased by this turn of events and I apologize to all the followers of my journal but I will fucking rise again so look for another journal in a few months.

I posted this as warning to be fucking careful and CHECK your equipment often my water was murky and I had ice packs in there and would feel the pump and go "oh it's working"

Horrible man... I had an pump fail on me too during this grow and the plants were underwater for 2 hours on two seperate occasions but I caught it both times before any major damage was done. You could tell they didn't like it though.

This is one of the main reasons I think hydro setups need security measures for equipment failure- something that needs to be worked into beginner setups for ease of use.

I'll definitely be around for your next grow, take care!

Your right, but try telling someone to get back-up pumps, better bitting your tongue. by the way I always recommend 3 air pumps minimum. With 2 independent ait stones, that way a single pump failure will not kill your plants.

Ya if the system doesn't come with it you couldn't tell someone to buy some more pumps LOL They would be like "I spent the money, it's the bomb setup, don't have to worry" add in a mind your own business LOL
