Mazar & Blueberry Hydro Grow

Hello all!!!!

This is my GC introduction and beginning of my 1st GJ. i have been on for a while and know a couple members IRL; I just never registered. During my time here,I have learned a great deal from this site and have decided to put the new knowledge to work! First I am going to outline the setup and then I will update with some pics in a few days.

The Setup

For this grow I am working with an Ebb and Flow type system called the Multi Flow. It consists of twelve buckets, a controller, and a 55 gallon res. I'm using Hydroton as my media and Advanced nutes. I have a digital PH/TDS/Temp meter as well as a 400 watt MH with Eye Hortilux bulb. This setup is in a room by itself and gets plenty of good ventilation. When these girls get big enough i plan on taking cuttings and having a rotating crop seeing that i have a whole room and two of these multiflow setups at my disposal. Only I (and now you guys) know about this grow and will keep it that way.

The Girls

I was going to try my hand at bagseed on my first real attempt on my own, however, I saw a chance to get away with anonymous seeds sent to an old apartment under an exgirlfriend's name. With that said, I am currently growing 8 Mazar feminised seeds and 2 blueberry which are also feminised. I started this at the beggining of the year as to not bore you all with the details of Germination.

Finally...

I am new to this and though i have read a lot I am aware of the things you just cant read about. I will not turn this GJ into a debate or a defensive bout. All input will be appreciated and valued....especially from Dier (Try not to be too harsh on me...I'm a newb) Thanks for having me here and i ill be updating soon with pics!!

how do you have 2 of these systems at your disposal? you bought both of them going into your first grow? or a friend gave them to you...? you work for the hells angels..??? or is it classified info

i have always dreamed of having a whole room to grow weed in, but have to settle on closets and semi-stealth boxes. i am growing blueberry too, and will definitely be following this thread i want to see how they turn out

Mazar! Very nice. I will be following this thread closely. I almost got some fem seeds from the same company you probably ordered from. Mazar is a great strain and I wish you all the luck with it.

For the record, having a whole room dedicated to growing is awesome.

OK guys I finally have a few pictures posted...I'm new to this so hopefully they work. The first pictures up are of the setup...The next pictures show a couple of shots of the girls. They are much bigger now then in the pictures but it'll give you an idea of how they were about 3 days ago...ENJOY


As you can see we have plenty o room in here. This is a ebb and flow bassed system....each station has a net trellis bucket inside a valved regular bucket. The controller floods the buckets...

55 gallon res....2 of them side by side....only using one for now but as soon as these girlies are ready for flowering...definetly going to have a rotating crop...Now for teh bud shots...

As I've mentioned before...thye are farther along today, but this is one of the mazar. Another angle...

In total I have 11 girls...3 blueberry and 8 mazar...


Still a bit early...but they seem to be coming along nicely....I just got the rest of my program from advanced nutes... The products we are using now are...B-52, piranha, voodoo juice, mother earth tea (grow), Barricade, Humic and Fulvic Acid, Sensizym, Carboload, tarantula, and of course the 3 part base...Grow Micro and Bloom....My rez looks like it contains a witches brew...Sorry for the update delay....but any comments would be appreciated....

couple lbs? unless i missed something how can a 400w give off enough light to 12 plants for ~2lbs.. nice setup BTW...kinda like mine except i have 2x 600w one MH hort and HPS hort

Thnaks for the speculation....Actually i'm only using this 400 watt MH untill my T5 fixture comes in(8 bulbs-4ft T-5HO)....Anywayz, for flowering I will be using a 600 watt HPS digi ballast.

Mmm. Mazar and Blueberry sound like a match made in heaven. Can't wait to see what kinds of buds these babies produce.

I will be updating with more pics soon, they are growing by the minute !!! I couldn't be more happy. Today I lowered the light another 6 inches to a level of 3 ft above the top of the plants. They really seem to love their new nutes. I'm wondering whether or not to FIM/TOP/LST. I've done much reading on these techniques however have no hands on experience. Not to mention they seem to have no problem staying short and bush like....tight internodal spacing...Anywayz I'm just trying to sit back and let them do their thing. I've been keeping the PH steady at 5.6 and PPm right around 900. Rez temp @73... I'll try to get pics Wendsday.

Cool Dude.
Just take this light lower. With 400 bulb you should not have light higher than 2 feet. Than you will enjoy full face of hydro & HIDs.

After doing some more reading and taking the suggestion of others (Maniac) I lowered the light another 6 inches and it now sits between 2 and 2.5 feet above the tallest plant. In addition, i topped my blueberry and 1 of the Mazar. Friday, i will be changing out my res again and cleaning out the buckets.

Right now I've been trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to do about flowering. I dont really have another room but the 1 should be plenty big enough. I have thought about those hydro huts, but they seem awfully hard to keep at a good temp.

I also have found myself imaging what the Mazar will taste like . I have smoked blueberry before but never have I smoked Afghani x skunk. I hope it taste like I'm floating on a magic carpet straight out of Agrabah. I've gotten mixed reports however. One very peculiar one said that it tastes "fruity". Doesn't make much sense when seeing the parents....I guess there is only one way to find out.
