lookin great so far 420, i dont know if its the lighting on the first picture or not, but it looks like it has some white residue on it. You might want to check that out for plant diseases which most likely can be easily fixed. But im sure im just seeing it wrong , good luck with everything, and i will try and stay with this thread for ya

Yes you can leave them in there for a while longer... if you have roots coming out simply turn the cup over and let teh entire clump of dirt with plant in it fall out a bit allowing the roots coming out of the cup to go back inside then let the ball of dirt fall back down on it...

This will keep those roots back inside and out of the light.

You asked in PM if you can start lst, no not yet, reason being if you bend it over now its no benefit to you as there are no fan leafs lower down on the main stem for it to shoot out branches from.

Keep them in there for a while longer and when transplanting make sure you burry most of the main stem.

you also mentioned getting a 400w HPS.... and right now your just growing with like 4 low wattage flourescents... believe you should have opted for the 400w MH instead as its easier to supliment the Red spectrum for flowering with clfs than it is to supliment the blue spectrum.

HPS to me grows the plant slow as hell, MH is the way to go and then for flowering just supliment with some warm white flourescents.

PCro182- im not sure what ur seeing. ur saying theres white residue on the lights? there is deffinately no white residue on the plants. im possitive! i just checked. but thanks for letting me know man. i can use all the help i can get with this stuff!! as im always baked.

dierwolf- i always enjoy reading ur posts, and this time is no different. they are always very informative! thanks for the tips with the roots coming out, it makes a lot of sense and ill be doing it shortly. i can just barely see the root tips showing so maybe tomoro?
as for the hps, should i just go for the mh? i mean, im getting the hps for free (from my friend) and this is my first grow so i was just thinkin that i shouldnt be goin all aggro spending money. but if u think its worth it ill deffinately look in to it. anyways, thanks for the helpful info everyone. ill be posting more pics shortly.

Definitely go with the Free HPS, and seeing your obviously willing to spend what it takes go buy yourself an MH conversion bulb for it, it will definitely make a big diference during veg.

i havnt done pricing yet, but im trying to sell a bass rite now.
on ebay its listed for $350-$499. so i should get some $$$$ from that. i dont really play anymore and i have a couple other guitars so i thought what the hell.

Price wise I think your better off with a reg HPS and the conversion bulb, however, those digital balast are sweet.

well the blacklight fixtures ive had for years. they sell them for like $5.99 at home depot. but the floro tubes were like $7 at home depot. the two cfl's together were $10 (it came with both in the same package). also got them at home depot as well as soil and perlite. its not relly that expensive to veg them. its when u have to flower,.... thats the expensive time.
