| Re-cap Ya Like T.Bug said.. for flowering you use HPS... "yellow color'' 2100k vegging you use the M.H. "daylight/or blue" 6500k so your looking for yellow now... hope thats clear  Yes!! if you have to get HPS bulb, DO IT!! HPS is the best lighting for dense big buds... Your plants will flower given 12/12 lighting and with a MH. BUT,, HPS is the spectrum of yellow "looking like a fall summer sunset" this triggers a hormone in the plant that says, "winters near" time to bear fruit

Keep up the good work 420! I just finished reading this entire jounral because i learn alot when i read other peoples grow journals...your grow really gets me excitied to start my own i cant wait! since i'm moving out of my current apartment in about 3 weeks im gonna wait until i get to my new spot and then the grow begins... but yea keep up the good work!! cant wait to see that bud porno  and oh yeah...how is the smell??? are you doing anything for odor control??? i dont think you mentioned that in your previous post Last edited by Green Machine; 04-08-2007 at 07:41 AM. lmao.... thanks for takin the time to read this whole journal... i really apprieciate all this help everyone is giving me and all the encouragement as well~!! as far as the smell, it isnt too bad. when u open the closet that has been closed all day its kinda pungent(spelling) but other than that its deffinately bearable... im in a one bedroom one bath appt. with no ventillation other than the hole used by the dryer that was previously in there... gonna probably have to get a carbon scrubber... or make one... there is a good thread in here somewhere on how to make one... good luck and greenthumbs

hey 420, what's up. that light is bigger than a 400 watt. it's either a 600 or 1000. also the pics under it aren't all yellow like you see of others using HPS, so my guess is it's metal halide or mercury vapor, make sure you find out before you order a new bulb, peace

ok guys... got the hps bulb today and plugged her in... also added some co2 bottles... the sugar and yeast and water mix... seems to be working noticible better... ive cut some of the littler branches on the bottom of the plant. (the guy at the hydro store said that would probably be a good idea.... all the plants are really responding to the new light.... and the co2... please leave some comments on what u guys think... ill be getting some higher quality pics when we find the charger for the dig. camera....

yo man ive seen those lights before, those smaller ones, i think they come in 75 and 120 watts and i've seen the kind that only runs on 130 volts  but yo, that light stretched the hell out of the top of your plants man, and for the better im thinking, dude that HPS lamp will make all that stretched stem into nice fat cola

i havent checkd ure grow in awhile, lookng good. i also have a bit of a stretch going on and ppl in here are talking like that can be a good thing. excelent.
