Even with Super Computer Graphics programs we cant see those plants/seedlings.

Picture is very bad and grainy.... so i must ask

1. Your growing in a bed, how deep is the bed soil?
2. What type of soil is that?? Its very black, looks almost like pure compost.
3. Where are your lights and why are they not much lower?

Temps to hot

1-26-7 - Update - bent back reflector on floresent unit . Temp was 80 degrees previously... with one small fan... Added one more fan on the other side...
now the temp. maintains at 75 degrees... next stage.... transplanting!!!
I'm using 4 - 10" pots... Grow space is 45 x about 22" &
Height isnt really an issue.... Keeping the plants short and NOT streched is my goal...

Still need the soil to un-freeze... yes folks.. its 2 solid 40 lb bricks of frozen potting soil...
It was kept (outdoors) here in MN.. on a palete at Menards.. lol
it's softening up nicely thooo.... updates soon.. peace!
Also Added... Small electric space heater.... Going threw a real cold spell...
temps around 3 degrees,, with
a windchill -35 !!!!!!

Latest Pics !!!

Latest Pics, Transplant went well... except lost a few roots on plant #2.... Soil drys out very fast with lighting and fans....

Question I have also is::: Well, is it OK, to add a soil conditioner on "top" layer of soil. to help hold in water!???
This would be acting almost like a maultch. Its Grainy Little ceramic-like granules... they won't brake down over time.... says product is excellent moisture retention, drainage, aeration and root penetration... I did add about 1 cup/handfull of this and mixed with soil...
This OK or Not ok,, if not, what would be a good alternative???

Plants today are 13 days old... (including germination time)

Yes, it is okay to put a layer of "moistholding" substance on top of the soil. Take a look at:

http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-jour...ow-2-pics.html

I don't know the type you mentioned, but I guess it's like the ones used on the link above?
The pics are of a soil-grow, with a 1 cm layer of "rock" on top to keep the top soil from drying out. Notice that the area around the stems are kept free. It works really good.

Love'en the nutes!!

Guess they liked the nutes.... will start to increase slowly...
I'll do more watering with about 1/8th strength
Then, 1/4th to 1/2 strength....

They are at the fastest pace of growth now...
I'm going to hold off flowering them, unless
I see a slow change of veg stage growth....

Topped the plants Yesterday! cutting/trimming

2-15-07 Topped the 4 plants!

Q: What other cuttings can be done to these plants??
Q:Would it be OK to remove the Shade leaves?
to alow more light to the new growth areas...

Q: Plant #2 has a "natural" LST going on...
Should I LST that plant? & what would that advantage be?

I may begin flowering on sunday. Introduce the HPS to them
Incurage stem development. and upward growth...
Todays day 29... plants 6" to 7" tall.. 10+ inches wide.
Flowering/showing sex takes a solid 13 to 14 days..
and at the rate there growing now.. would that be sufficient?

Looking for advise/opinons..
