Well this is my very first grow guys. I have been doing countless research and thanks alot, mainly to this forum, you guys have taught me so much and now im pretty confident starting my first grow.

I will be growing one Grapefruit plant for my first grow which I purchased from Dr. Chronic from Femaleseeds.nl so it is sure to be a female. I Basically bought a femenized seed because since I am only growing one plant, I dont want to waste any time and have it become a male.
Well here it is, this is my setup which is located in my closet by the way...

x3 85watt 6500K CFL's - 4200 Lumen = 12600 Lumen Total (I'll be switching over to 3 2700K 55watt CFL's once I'm in the flowering stage)

I'll be using all Fox Farm Products for this grow which includes;

-Fox Farms Organic Soil
-Fox Farms Grow Big (Veg Nute - 6-4-4)
-Fox Farms Big Bloom( Veg & Flower Nute - 1-3-7)
-Fox Farms Tiger Bloom (Flower Nute - 2-8-4)

Methods I will be using

-LST (due to my height restriction, I have about 6ft of height minus one foot for the pot and minus one and a half foot more for the lights and since Grapefruit is predominantly a Sativa plant, I can expect a tall plant, so for that reason plus increasing my yield, I will LST.)
-Top (might top, still considering it)

Weekly News

Day 1 [1/05/07] - Started Germination, used paper towel method and proceeded to cover the whole container using a black shirt and left on top of my monitor for warmth.

Week 1 [1/12/07] - First set of true leaves have came out and it seems as if another set of leaves are beginning to come out also. Plant is looking healthy.

Max temperature / humidity - 81.7F or 27.6°C / 38%

Minimum temperature / humidity - 64.4°F or 18°C / 20%

Week 2 [1/19/07] - Looks like it seconds set of leaves growing out. Havent watered since Day 10, Plant is looking healthy.

Max temperature / humidity - 88°F or 31.1°C / 33%

Min temperature / humidity - 62.8°F or 17.1°C / 19%

Week 3 [1/26/07] - Transplanted Lexus into a 5 gallon nursery pot. It grew really big this past week, plant looking healthy.

Max temperature / humidity - 94.8°F or 34.9°C / 35%

Min temperature / humidity - 62.8°F or 17.1°C / 15%

Week 4 [2/02/07] - Lexus has grown much bigger/bushier, still looking really healthy minus a couple of water spot burns. Will nute and LST it soon.

Max temperature / humidity - 88.0°F or 31.1°C / 46%

Min temperature / humidity - 65.1°F or 18.4°C / 22%

Well guys, I would appreciate any help along my wonderful journey in creating Gods given plant.

I really wish I'd gotten female seeds.

Good luck with yours, I wanna see what this strain looks like, it sounds delicious.

How'd those seeds come packed? Just in an envelope kind of deal? I was looking around that site and I saw they have 'stealth' delivery for 5 euros extra, did you use that?

the grow area setup is fine. Only thing i dont see is any sort of ventilation.

I also dont like germinating my seeds that way because of the fact you have to handle it afterwards... i would have just placed it 1/4 inch deep in the damp soil and waited 3 days for it to sprout.

The soil you have is perfect (ocean forest by fox farms) just remember do not feed it any of those nutes AT ALL! until about 5 weeks, the soil has enough nutrients in it to sustain it fine up until then.

oh also
i would re-arrange the lights so they are in a triagle pattern directly over the pot and bring them closer as well.

Dr. Chronic is a great seed bank to buy from. Delivered before expectancy and they automatically shipped mine with the stealth option.

Great advice, yea I know im missing a fan, its actually on the way here, should be shipped here by monday or tuesday at the latest. I figure I still have about a week to go before my plant sprouts so its ok right?

Ohh that was when I opened it. Well basically on my credit card statement, the product was listed as something else, and it came in an enclosed envelope which had confedential written all over it... that was about it.

Day 2

Seed is still germinating over my monitor, just chilling... No signs of the taproot coming out...yet.

I fixed my lights just like you said DierWolf and now they are going to be 5 inches above the soil. I figure its ok to start off with the lights not being as close so the sprout can get used to the light and during a period of 1-2 weeks move it gradually until it hits 1-2 inches away from the plant. Would that be ok? Or would that cause stretching?

Closet Setup

Tomorrow i'm going to go purchase a couple gallons of distilled water and hopefully by monday, my fans should be arriving so I should have everything setup and ready for when my girl sprouts.

Day 3 (Is it really day 3 or do the days begin when it first sprouts?)

Seed showed its tap root early this morning when I checked it so when I got back from work (an hour ago) I immediately filled my pot up with Ocean forest organic soil from Fox Farm and watered it using distilled water. Waited till it drained and preheated it for about 15 minutes under my lights so they can get sort of warm and proceded to plant my seed in the soil about 1/2 inch deep.

Lights are about 5 inches above the top of the soil...

Seed chilling under my lights (which are already going and are set to go on during the coldest time which is night time) waiting to sprout.

Hopefully tomorrow, both my fans should be arriving so they can be set and ready for when my girl sprouts. (still deciding on name)

Hey man.
Great setup. I just had a few kids germinate and when they poked through the soil, I put the CFL's 1-2 inches off the tops, a fan breezing by them and 74 degree temps and no problems. At 5 inches above them they might stretch. Just monitor the growth closely and keep CFL's 1-3 inches off the tops. Looking really good so far.

looking good, a 1/2 inch of soil over the seed? I think that is a little deep if so. your little seed only has the fuel in it's seed until it sprouts and gets some light. gl, I'll keep checking in.

Day 5

Well Lexus (finally named her

) sprouted sometime early on today hooray!!!

Both my fans arrived, I got a 6 inch fan (white fan - bottom right) blowing air from on top at full speed which is 190CFM, and I got an 8inch fan (black one) blowing air directly at the sprout about a foot away at low speed which is easily atleast 200CFM so I'm guessing that would pretty much take care of any stagnant air and circulate alot of air in the closet for my sprout.

Wondering when will be a good time to transplant? I'm planning on transplanting it in about 1-2 weeks to a 5 gallon nursery pot. Would that be ok? I just want to transplant before I start LST'ing so I dont have to fuss with all the strings and I also want to transplant before it gets rootbound.

Appreciate the comments guys.

Lemme ask you, what is holding up your mylar in your closet there? Just a couple slabs of plywood or something like that?
