400w DWC stealth freezer. . . .Bagseed

Lighting

400w HPS with MH conversion bulb. Been having probs with high temps due to lack of
circulation. I ordered a tornado fan and it should be in by today. So I've been running a 75w security light since day one. I also have 2 4"ft ballast with a total of 4 bulbs that I'm waiting for flower to hook up.

Ventilation

250CFM inline fan from home depot($29) and a tornado fan from target($20)

2 4in holes for exhaust and one for intake

GrowBox

A freezer D'Bowed from a local appliance store. The guy told me he couldn't give it

to me since it wasn't his store but casually said "There's never anybody here at night".

So I took it as a hint and stole 1 freezer and two micro fridges.

Nutrients and Additives

I'm currently running GeneralHydroponics Flora Series 3 part.

Hygrozyme

Sweet

Meters used

I have a Hanna Champ($49) Ph meter and a Hanna Dist1 TDS($65). I got the drops too and still use them along with the digital meter.

On with the show. . . . .

Box

Day 1-7. . . .somewhere round there

10ML Micro

10ML Gro

5ML Bloom approx 450PPM

Plant A

Plant B

Day 15

10ML Micro
10ML Grow
5ML Bloom
18ML hygrozyme
10ML Sweet
PPM= 500-540
PH=5.9

Root Shots

Plant A

Plant B

Slight algae problem? Hope this is normal

only on plant b

I'll post pics of the micro-fridge grow shortly.

Feel free to leave comments/suggestions

Forgot to mention this is my first grow. . . .

That doesn't really look like algae to me. It looks like the red powdery stuff on the hydroton that collected onto the pot/bottom of bucket.

Lookin good

Hey Dier,

Thanks for stoppin by! Once I get the kinks worked out of this first grow
I'll be germin some NL#5 and some seeds from some Jamaican sticky icky.

You got me wanting to try some of that PPP so bad!

I also have another micro-fridge mother/veg chamber I'll be working soon.
I'm tapped out on the flow for bout another week.

What you think about me topping the plants in the freezer??

I'm going to start 12/12 in the micro-fridge in about a week and a half.
Should i take clones before 12/12 or would it be safe to take them after i have
established a female?

Looking good except for the burn on the lil ones.

did you think of ducting the other end of the huricane tube out of the box and letting it suck air from outside the grow area and providing seperate fan for in/out in the grow area itself, it would help the temps a bit more.

hmm. . .

Think you can point out the best spot inside both cabs that will optimize air flow, keeping in mind a later addition of a carbon scrubber?? Think it will matter much
if the light is adjustable or not?

One more thing. . .I don't know when people consider the start of veg so i should've

mention the last pics are 15 days from seeds. so right after germination i transplanted

to 5 gallon buckets. that's how people count the days right?? or should i have counted

from first roots?

Ive got the same fan, home depot is the shit... but ive got 2 250CFM, 6" ones and they make great fans for carbon scrubbers. The 4" ones are only rated at 80CFM, which i doubt would work well enough with the filter.

Again im with Dier, flow_DOC_deuce. finish the cool tube with ducting to an intake. On both chambers! Then grab another couple 6" inline fans and then install carbon filter, but i would put the exhaust fan on a thermostat, so you can better control the heat, they are easy to wire and cost a buck or so...

pretty lucky on the freezer and mini fridges, ay?

Although they may be rated at 250CFM i would say they're more like 180CFM.

Yeah i'm gonna add a new exhaust for my cooltube. Temps still gettin too high with
they 400w on.

Last night i decided to top one plant and fim the other. Let me know how i did.

Topped plant A

Fimmed plant B

Tonight, I'm going to cut two more holes at the top. One to the left of the original

cooltube exhaust and one to the right. That's gonna be my new cooltube design.

sucking in hot air to cool my light isn't workin out so great.

Also, does anybody think it would matter much if i flipped my fan around and made it

Push air through the cooltube instead of pulling??
