Posted just for ......Dier Wolf !

Here ya go Wolf, more pictures becasue i know you like the little Simpsons. I'm looking for some Smurfs for my next grow !!!

DOH !

I've just staked them off with about 8-9 stakes in each pot, and tied each budding head to a stake or two.
They are both sitting under my clothes line, which has a big peice of plastic over it, becasue it's been raining for 4-5 days here and they need to dry out a bit.

Yes i do think that the growth was stunted for about 2-3 days after each topping haircut.
I did this on purpose becasue these plants survived being started at the end of winter, so they still have along way to go before they start flowering, and in pots this big, i've seen them get tree size...
The whole idea is to see how much topping it can take as to keep the height down a bit and get it producing as many budding heads as possible.

I had them in pots about half that size, but you don't need to start them in small pots. I just find it easier so they can be moved around (if need be). But, you can put your seedling into the final pot, no problem.

Thanks.

P.s. - I've been thinking of topping again. Am I MAD, or would it work ????

I saw some picts of a outdoor med grow, they had pruned the weed into round shrubs. All before flowering. Then as they flowered huge colas came sprouting out in all directions. Round is a great shape for an outdoor plant, especially in an open field where it gets light sunup to sundown, from every angle. Wish i had saved those picts.

But about your plants, if you still havent reached flowering stage you know the plant is gonna still get huge even with your pruning. I would say, stay aggressive. Especially cuz your still in veg, and it looks like those plants are getting lots of intense sunlight and good food. I would train the branches outwards as much as possible also, get the plant growing sideways too.

I was scared to really prune my outdoor grow and they got out of hand when flower came and they just turned into Jack's beanstalk.

You need some N on those plants dude..

get some Urea and water with it one time only. (1 tablespoon per gallon)

and yes you can fim/top if you want, but you seem to ahve alot of stretching going on there for an outdoor plant.

Ok, i've done that, i added Urea 2 days ago...

The yellowing seems to have slowed down but not stopped.
I fimmed both plants again on all their heads, there were about 8-10 each plant.

What else can i do about the yellowing ???

It's never showed any sign of nute burn, just nute deficient. Should I just keep going on the nutes or should I give another shot of Urea.

She has flowered twice outside .....now she is inside for the winter....she will go outside in the spring ....and do it all over again......I only trim her everyday in the winter under lights.....outside in the summer ......it's every 3-4 days.....she will maintain this growth rate as long as she is trimmed(the plant thinks something is eating it ...so it grows to make up for it)....I have kept mothers like this alive under lights for years.........I like repetition

wow, so the constant triming keeps her alive eh?

for trimming are you just taking clones ( leaf stalks off a new growth node) or chopping some leaves off?

sorry for the thread jack
