Hey guys,

The day has come to start flowering these babies. I'm hoping that the big one is a female so I can just LST over the entire top of the bucket. Even the runt is starting to grow better though.

I FIM'd both plants yesterday - sadly I fucked up and was a little too rough apparently. I accidentally broke off the 2nd newest growths on the big plant while FIMing the newest growth. Not sure what effect this will have. The growth hasn't seemed to have slowed down at all, but we'll see.

I'm going to give the plants 36 hours of darkness prior to going 12/12.

When do you guys think I should switch to flowering nutes? Any input or advice is welcome

Is it good to have the roots always in the resevoir like that? Wouldn't that keep them from getting enough oxygen?

The roots receive oxygen via bubbles that the the air stones placed in the bottom of the reservoir create. Do a search on "bubble bucket" for more info

So the plants are now enjoying 400 watts of HPS bulb after sitting in the dark for 36 hours. They're still on veg nutes, I'll be switching to the flower blend in a few days (if i even have any females). PH has been a steady 5.8 which is awesome. Plants are drinking about 1/2 gallon of water a day.

From the looks of it so far I have 2 males. (Which pisses me off greatly, as this is the 2nd time I've made it this far only to have to chop it down and start over.) I spotted a few ball-like protrusions here and there on both plants. I'm still cautiously optimistic that they'll sprout hairs however...

The leaves here look more mangled then usual. I had just re-tied all of the bud sites so they haven't had a chance to re-align themselves with the light again yet.

what is your current ppm on the veg nutes... when you switch over to flowering nutes the mixture of the 3 will be a little different but should still be around the same ppm.

At the moment I'm still around 750ppm on the veg nutes. I was keeping it low-ish to give them a chance to recover (like you suggested).

Thanks for the input, I'll switch to equal strength nutes as soon as I get home. I'll also post some new pics of what they're lookin like on day 3 of flower.

I kinda did the same thing though. I started with 4 plants, one was a mutant and wouldn't grow, having heat probs in my big cab.

I'm thinkin about just throwin them in flower on week 3veg so i can sex so i don't

waste too much time. throw her in the veg/mother chamber once i have and just take

some cuttings.

Alrighty,

So today(at the end of day 3 flower light cycle) I changed out the veg nutes for 800PPM strength flower nutes. Everything went well and the plants are now back in the darkness they love so much.

PH was at 5.7 out of the tap which is really weird since it's usually around 6.8ish, but who am I to complain?

Minor mishap last night... I'm not positive how or when but this morning when I woke up I noticed the lights weren't on yet. So I groggily make my way to the closet and see that the power strip had been turned off somehow

The air pump is also connected to the same power strip, so I'm pretty sure the plants were without bubbles for anywhere up to 10 hours. Not cool by any means, but I'm really not sure what happened. In any event, both plants SEEM to be ok still but the smaller one is showing a little more blotches on the leaves then I'd like.

Anywho, here's a pic of what they're lookin like...

I figured I'd take some shots of the outside of the closet to the way in, cause I've yet to do that.

This is right after lights came on Day 4 Flower

Annnnnd, here's a shot of the hash pellet I made yesterday. It's the kiff collected from an oz of decent sinsemilla. Ended up with .6 grams of hash.

Both plants seem to be males... I'm pretty bummed out about this. Looks like all I'll get for my efforts is some male hash

Sucks they look like males bro. But I'm sure you learned a lot with this grow atleast. Maybe you know someone who can hook you up with a clone to help save some time. Good luck.

Definitely bad luck, but what can ya do?

I definitely did learn a lot this time round. Sadly, I don't know anyone else who grows so clones aren't an option. I decided to fork out the cash and order some FEMENIZED Dutch Passion: Master Kush seeds. So be on the lookout for my next grow

Thanks to everyone who offered advice or gave their input throughout the grow. I wouldn't have even gotten this far if it weren't for DierWolf's comments and past posts. Thanks dude.

Here's the pics of the plants after I chopped em and hung em up in a closet... enjoy!
