i knew it would come to this,,,, after seeing that, those flouros. in my cab. have got to go..... im a little '' mcgyver'' m.f.,, my ventilation has to travel 6 ft. at most. and thats venting halfway up,,, in a 6 ft. closet,,, i got to thinking that when i brought my light online, that i did have the light close to the thermometer. with a little rigging on a regular 8'' muffin fan, and my present 4'' exaust hose,,,, I KNOW I CAN MAKE THAT TEMP. HOVER AROUND 85 at most. thanks,, august, those pictures really give me a boost that i needed to get my shit, right,, no matter, how '' FRED SANFORD'' it may look .... its just a shame to have at least 8'' of plant, growing under , cfl,s while a 400, sits in a box in the adjoining closet,,,, it makes me weep!!!!!! ![]()

yeah man, it took me forever to get my temps decent. My last grow was mid 90's to 100+ (that was also mostly a summer grow). Now it stays around 75-85 depending on how warm it gets outside. Shortening my exhaust really helped a ton. It does hit 65 at lights out if it's real cold out but i don't think they mind so much. You'll get all squared away i'm sure.
I added a couple 85w (300w equivelint) 6500k cfl's today for a little dual spectrum action.

i was going to ask you about your watering,,, do you got plastic laid under the whole rig,,, and do you '' funnel'' a certain ammont of water to each pot, because obviosly they cant be moved,,,, and did you layer the last 2'' of your pots with rocks for better ''stabile'' soil drainige. what you got going ''right now'' is my future goal,,, but every plant on the floor must be a guarantee female,,,, until i got my cloning good and rooted,,, its just a 3rd. grow plan,,,,,,, but dude you are definatly showing me just what the hell i can look forward to ,,,,,, this grow here is entirely experimental, these cfl. tubes do o.k. but ive done seen my 400 in action,,,,,, they cant compare,,,,, i must get some pics. i gotta learn how to work this camera,,,, the important thing,, is erasing the pics, not my camera,,, right now i can reach out and grab the thing its that close.!!!!!! but i am not the , comp. person most are,,, i dont know squat, be cool as you maybe can tell,,, the chicken is ''wobbling'' on the fence post tonight,,,,, imade a 1/4 pick up,,,,, and been drinking some beer........ be cool ![]() ![]()

i have white plastic bags llining my floor, my pots (growbags) are inside some restaurant bus pans. I don't like the bus pans they are in cause water kinda just sits in there and it's a bitch to get out. I saw this water heater drain pan at home depot that i'll go with next time. As far as watering i have a pump sprayer with a long hose at the end that i fill w/ water and nutes, it's real easy to get underneath and on all sides with that thing.
no i didn't layer the bottoms with anything at all, just straight up ocean forest and some perlite. Like i said next time i'll use something better for under my pots so they can be drained easily. The last flush is gonna be a real bitch, i'll prally use a wet-vac to suck out the extra water.

LST with Max's version(MaxLST). If i do this, I may even go vertical with my lights that way I can utilize a wider 180deg footprint. I'll acutally have 360 degree of light but when I make the U shape with the eggcrate it will be 180. The only problem I keep coming to is the PITA rez changing. Lifting the screen and keeping it there while removing the buckets. Was about to ask how do you change your rez but forgot you use soil ![]()

pic of what the budlets look like that are closest to the UVB lights. There is a huge difference in the trics between these and the ones further away. Props to the postman for turning me on to that!
