Second CFL + LED Bagseed Grow

I feel proud. I wasn't sure what bud the seed came from, but it was either gonna be good stuff or really good stuff. This looks more like the really good stuff.

My analysis is that the plant bar won't grow a plant on it's own very well. I'd say it does about half the job, while my CFL's pick up the other half. It's a great way to suppliment any setup without using much energy. I'm thinking of getting more LED's, but from a different company who makes more powerful ones. They're more expensive, but they compare theirs to mine and it's not even funny. Check out ledgrowlights.com if you're interested.

oh ya i saw that! i think it could just be one of the average lies of just trying to get you to buy their product instead...i bet you could make your own for DIRT cheap....which is actually what i started on 10 min ago haha....im lookin around on radio shack....im going to just buy a ton of led's (maybe off ebay...but they will be of quality and of correct color etc) and then just ask around and i will prolly end up making one for like 30 dollars.....but meh or i'll prolly get lazy and end up just buying one hah.

Hey H4rk4t just make sure the LEDs you get aren't just regular LEDs. These are high intensity and are pretty dangerous to look directly at. I think a good sign is if they are clear when they're turned off.

What do the trichs look like? It's gotta be near harvesting time at day 53.

Some are actually still clear. Most are cloudy though, and I didn't see any amber yesterday. Does it matter if I look on the leaves around the bud, or do I have to check the bud itself? It seems to be a lot easier looking at the leaf.

True fact: I dunno much about when to harvest based on trich color. I just know that it's teh best way to decide when to harvest. My apologies. Take this with a dumptruck of salt; I think its something like 20-60-20 as per percentages the 1st # being clear, 2nd cloudy, 3rd amber. I think, I'll have a look around these threads for help. Oh and I think it's best to check the bud itself since that's what you want to be smoking. Those leaves look mighty sticky though.

Edit: Mkay I think when to harvest all depends on your personal objective. For instance, if you want to get a more couch-lock kind of high then harvest at 1-20-79, more heady high 1-50-49, and some guy went as far as 0-75-25.

haha ya i learned that the hard way when modding my xbox i got the wrong kinda led's (the ones that are used for this growing thing with a high intensity discharge) that like fucked up my eye sight for lookin at it for so long..till recently i went to an optomatrist..which is when i found out i got some stigmatism or like radiation from light i forgot but ya...i use to game alot and it was always in front of my face heh

Flowering Day 58
Obviously some sativa at work here. It's been 8 weeks and she's still growing. Not that I mind, these buds are freakin huge. The branches are almost solid buds I LOVE it! 6 FAT tops and 1 of good size. Couple deficiencies spreading but I don't really care. Check it out.

Who cares, they look great. In fact, don't they call those donkey dicks? They look Indica Sativa to me. How did your last crop smoke, the one that Stitch and I helped you with; the calcium? I bet they were just fine. Should not effect them too much I wouldn’t think.

I thought donkey dicks were fat ass colas. I might be wrong. Whatever, they look dank and even the fan leaves have trichs which is a nice touch.

I only keep seeds from good weed . Apparently a good find. She's still goin new white hairs poking out in clusters all over the buds. She has a weird smell. It's not strong, even when I touch the buds or leaves. Mama would give off a STRONG sweet smell when I broke a few trichomes, but Baby Girl here only a faint smell not so sweet, but hard to describe. I'm hoping she won't flower for much longer than 9 weeks, cuz I'm all out.

My last plant smoked great. Real smooth and sweet with an awesome scent. Can't wait for the clones. They should be in flowering but I need to rearrange things since I have to split up my light now. I have a 65w light I could give em, it's 6500k but it'll do for now. Maybe I'll use it instead of some of these other lights like the 26w CFLs and the other 30w daylight. 2 small plants, 65w daylight + 2x42w soft white, plus LED's, that should be enough. I wanna keep it as low as possible out of respect for my parents letting me grow in their house.

I'm glad you guys are loving this plant as much as I am. I hope her seeds carry on some of these traits. Don't forget she's pregnant.

Day 61 of flowering
I'm down to resin hits from my bowl...yeah there's a lotta resin but it doesn't taste as good as fresh homegrown bud. I can't tell if she's done yet she's giving me mixed signals! Trichomes look ready to harvest, but she still looks like she's growing. WTF do i do?
