Romain's 1st Bagseed grow! *LOTS O' PICS*

Hey everyone and Welcome to my 1st ever grow!

Here are some specs of the grow:

Closet dimensions: 5ftH x 6ftL x 1 3/4ftD

It is a Bagseed grow

Im currently using a Closet Wardrobe for my grow box because i was unable to build or find one that fit my closet. It's basically a metal frame with a breathable fabric over it. The inside is lined with Mylar and Duct Tape and so far its working pretty good.

Soil is a mix of Perfect Mixture All Purpose potting soil and Perilite.

1 x 400wHPS
2 x 120mm 12v fans (exhaust/intake)
1 x Light timer
1 x Perfect Mixture Soil
1 x Perilite
1 x 6" Osculating fan (for plants)
1 x 4" Fan (for cooling lamp)

So far i've tryed the paper towel method and out of 8-9 seeds used only 2 were able to sprout and be usefull to acutally plant .

That should work ok for a grow box, but i'm a bit concerned about the temp inside the box with the 400W HPS.
Your light is too far from the plant, the plant is stretching to reach more light.

going to be a nice little grow, very nice set-up! But you could fit another good 2 plants in there couldn't you?

I'm a little confused as far as how your grow room is setup as well..

bury the plant with the large stem more so roots will form out of that whole stem and you've now given the plant a healthier start.

You sure that little fan is gonna provide enough ventilation to keep the grow room cool? Whats the temp in there when the lights on?

That should work ok for a grow box, but i'm a bit concerned about the temp inside the box with the 400W HPS.

It does seem a little hot but the fabric really does help to let some of the heat seep out the bottom and top. The intake fan is blowing air in and that little fan blows on the LAMP not the plants. I still have to get the 6" fan going in there. That stretching is from just sitting on my window sil for a couple days. I put it in there under the HPS..AND THE STEM COLLAPSED!!!

Moved it a foot and a half away and havent turned it on since..put a pencil near the stem and gently tied it to it and put it back on the window sil til i figure this out.

going to be a nice little grow, very nice set-up! But you could fit another good 2 plants in there couldn't you?

Those 2 are just the ones i got from a couple schwag dimes that acutally sprouted (out of prob. 12 selected) If they dont start growing or something happens, im gonna buy more seeds of Dr. Chronic or take a trip to Toronto before school starts.

Well i've came across some money from some savings bonds and about 45 seeds so i've decided to scrape the idea i had before and move everything into a C25 cabinet.

Im just not gonna feel safe leaving my house with all that stuff running with the light and all in something thats fabric..no matter how vented i make it. Plus its pretty hot in there (reason i think why my baby plants stem collapsed )

SOOO paper towel method has worked great and out of the 45 seeds..38 have sprouted!! Within 2 days

They've all been planted and slightly watered. By the time they burst the soil my grow cab. should be done.

Damn, you sure you want to have 38 plants growing (no doubt some will be males but still)?

Oh no those are all the ones that sprouted I only planted like 17 of them so far. I put the rest back in the paper towel and soaked it alittle more just to keep them semi "fresh".

Im not sure what to do with em because even out of the 17 my cab is only gonna be big enough to flower 3, 4, 5 female plants (depening how big the pots i put em in which is gonna depend on how big they grow and i want BIG )

^^^^Those seeds will be next to useless if you leave them for a while... Why didn't you just germinate twenty. And then use 17... Dont mean to stick my nose in. But it seems a little silly.

There schwag seeds..there a dime a dozen (literally) haha

Well i took the sprouted ones that busted through (that looked the healthiest) and put em in my old "Veg" tent. til i get my C25 up and ready for perminant growing.

Been on 18/6 since Sunday. Around 3900Lumens in the pics. Not enough? There only for veging til i use the HPS.

The light doesnt look too close in the picture but it is about 1 1/2 inches (bulb tip) from the tops of the plants. Any lower and they will be touching.



Ya ya ya i know there are a couple with double seeds..im just seeing how they grow so i can learn more they wont be put under the HPS.
