1000w Aircooled HPS Grow. 100% organic Soil grow

I am going to be starting a new grow within a few weeks. I just ordered all new equipment, and am going to be ordering seeds in a few days. I am going to be taking a bunch of clones of a few selected mothers. I haven't decided on the strains yet, but i have a few ideas (see below) Here is some info:

Lights:

(1) 1000w Hydrofarm Powerhouse HPS ballast
Hydrofarm Valuebrite 6" Aircooled Reflector (23" long X 21" wide)
1000w Hortilux HPS bulb
Glass lens kit
400w HPS w/ batwing reflector (may or may not be used..most likely not. if i use it, it will be for a few mothers so i can take clones)
4' Fluro Shoplight (holds 2 bulbs) (for clones)
(2) 4' 40W Fluro tubes (for clones)


Ventilation:

Dayton 265cfm Blower w/ power cord
6" Intake Flange
25' of 6" Flexible Foil Duct Tubing
(2) 6" duct clamps


Nutrients/Supplements:

Pure Blend Pro Grow- 1 gallon
Pure Blend Pro Bloom- 1 gallon
Blood Meal
Bone Meal
Superthrive- 2 oz. (for clones)
Earthjuice Organic Rooting Gel (for clones...obviously lol)


Ph adjusting and testing:

Digital Waterproof PH pen
Vita grow PH up- 1 gallon
Vita grow PH down- 1 gallon


Grow Medium(s):

100% organic potting soil
Perlite
Rockwool Cubes (for clones)


Pots:

12- plastic 1 gallon pots
12- plastic 2 gallon pots
12- plastic 3 gallon pots


Other tools:

Digital Hygrometer/thermometer
Timex Heavy duty timer
10" X 20" plastic tray
8" Tall Plastic Humidity dome for tray
String for LST'ing
Raozrblades/Scissors
Duct tape

Seeds:

So far i have ordered:

Serious seeds- AK47
Highgrade seeds- Brainwreck

the last strain will be paradise seeds sensi star, which will be ordered in a day or two.


INFO ON GROW:

This will obviously be a soil grow indoors. The room is about 15 feet long and 10 feet wide. The walls are painted flat white for reflection. The light will be aircooled so i shouldn't need an air conditioner although it will be used if i can't keep the temps low enough. the dayton fan will exhaust out a window or another room, i haven't decided yet.

The plants will be grown to about a maximum of 4 feet tall, and they will be in atleast 3 gallon pots for flowering maybe 5 gallons. I am going to be growing 12 females under the 1000w hps. I am planning on taking clones from a few selected mothers, and 12 rooted clones will be put to fully flower under the 1000w hps.

The plants will be germinated in a plate with a wet paper towel and put into 1 or 2 gallon pots to start out.

The plants will be lst'd at around 2 weeks, maybe a little longer. Nutrients will be started at around 3 weeks of vegging, at 1/4 dose and slowly moved up to full dosage. They may also be fimmed once, i haven't decided yet. The plants will be vegged for a total of 30-40 days depending on how fast and vigorous they grow.

The plants will then be put into 3-5 gallon pots to flower, the soil mix will also be mixed with blood meal and bone meal for flowering. I will be trying to make a very even canopy so all of the buds on each plant get enough light. I will also clip the fan leaves blocking the buds, so the buds get more light.



***I will try and post pictures as much as possible, my last grow i had some trouble getting pictures often. but this time i have a better/working camera so it shouldn't be a problem. I will try and post pictures every week to 10 days and give full updates and info on how they are doing. I may edit this post as i'm sure i forgot some information.***

I will give more updates as soon as i order the seeds. I just felt like posting this now to give everyone a heads up, and to get some suggestions if anyone has any before i start the grow. Strain suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks..yea it's a great light and i got it for cheap. The ballast has an 8 year warranty, and stays very cool compared to other hps ballasts. I got the ballast, valubrite aircooled reflector (this thing is huge...lots of light coverage), a 1000w hortilux bulb, and a glass lens for the reflector all for $356 + shipping. With shipping it was like $387 or so, the same light is $450-$600 plus shipping.

damn good deal... yea i wish i had the space to put a 1000w in my room... not just that but the heat it would create would be massive... hope you got a good vortex fan or inline fan for that

i bought a 265cfm dayton blower to go with it, and duct tubing, intake flange for the fan, etc. The fan and some cloning equipment i bought should be here in a day or two. I just have a few things to get.

I cleared out one of my rooms and am using that as my grow room..i used to grow in a closet and even with my 400w it got insanely hot in there (85-90 atleast all day), now in this big room even with my 400w (which isnt aircooled) it never gets above 75. The dayton should aircool the light enough so i dont need to aircool the room with anything else, but if it gets too hot i am going to put a brand new ac in there that i bought a few weeks ago. With my 400w the ac keeps the room at 70. and thats not even how cold it can get.

thats so sick.... you gonna be running both lights? that would be a shitload of light.... you could put so many plants in there you live in the states?

I might be running both, not sure yet. If i decide to take clones i am probably going to use it and put the mothers under there. I am going to be puttting 12 females under the 1000w and like 4 under the 400w. So i should have 16 females total, atleast 12 though.

Ehh, i've lst'd many times before and had no problems with crowded space. I'm going to be using 3 gallon pots for flowering, so the space where the plants are growing will be about 3 feet x 4 feet...i'm pretty sure the light will be able to cover a 3 x 4 area.

I ordered 2 packs of seeds last night, going to be ordering one more (sensi star) in a day or two. So far i have ordered these:
