Mac Users: GrassCity Dashboard Widget

I got bored this morning and decided to take a look at programming widgets. I ended up taking the RSS reader code from here and modifying it to work with GrassCity's forum RSS feed.

Basically it displays the latest thread posts along with some info about that post.

KNOWN BUGS: The option panel looks a little messed up. That's all.

Let me know of any updates / improvements to it that you want and I'll see what I can do. My knowledge of dashboard programming is not very extensive but I'm learning as I go.

Features:
Updates at an interval of your choice (5, 10, 30 minutes).
Hovering mouse over text give more info about thread.

Updated.

+ Moved lines closer together.
+ Added option to update every 5 minutes
+ When you hover your mouse over the thread text, more info comes up on the thread

+ Fixed Option panel glitch. Now there's a clearly marked button in the upper right corner that opens an option menu.

Thanks guys. If you have any suggestions, let me know. As far as I know, there's only one forum RSS feed. If there turns out to be more than one RSS feed (ie, one for each sub-forum) then I could easily set it to just monitor one forum (right now it just displays the latest threads, since that's the only RSS feed that I know of for GC).

Changed skin. Now looks more like regular forum.

Sorry, I only know how to write one for Tiger's dashboard system. Besides I don't have a windows computer to test it on even if I knew how.

Sorry, no can do even though I use Linux. The Dashboard system that runs all the Widgets is a specific runtime engine: Widgets aren't written in C or Java (although parts of them I think can be; I'm not sure) but instead some hybrid/combination of HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript. So until someone makes a Dashboard-clone to run the Widgets on Windows or Linux, this is a Mac-only program.

Firefox has a similar feature... when you see the orange sound waves... you can click and save an rss feed from that site/forum...that's how i begin browsing the city
