question about gun shows

hey bladez,

i've been wanting to get a burner for a while. i'm old enough to buy a rifle but not a pistol. (18 to buy rifle; 21 to by pistol; i'm 19).

there is a gun show coming to my town soon (they are renting out the fairgrounds for a weed or so).

it's my understanding that guns are more easily acquired through the gun shows than going to a gun store.

can anyone tell me the criteria that one would have to meet to get a gun from the gun show. (what will they ask for? photo id, gun permits?)

the only gun permits one would ever need are: concealed permits or automatic weapon permits. Otherwise just take two forms of ID and youre set man. good luck...by the way, how much are you trying to spend?

but i hear you can get really good deals at the gun shows.

the 2 forms of id suck cause i'm only 19.

the problem, is that i can probably buy one off the street, but, i would be dealing w/sketchy people number one, and two i don't want a gun that's stolen/has bodies on it cause if i ever get caught, it would bring more charges

i have an retractible police baton. but i would need more than that in a serious fight.

and the rubber bullets are a good idea. you would be able to defend yourself without having to face murder charges.

For home defense, a 12 gauge shotgun is the way to go. Rifles and pistols have a nasty habit of going through (several) walls and killing baby Annie sleeping in her crib. Shotguns are not intended for long ranges and birdshot for instance will not make it very far through your walls.

Shotguns also have the highest rate of killing what they hit. Instead of 1 bullet entering the chest and MAYBE hitting a vital organ, you have many pellets penetrating a relatively wide spread with one shot. The sad truth is that if you are going to use a gun on an intruder, you will probably be better off killing them versus blowing off an arm and then having them sue you. Also, shotguns are very diverse. You can alter the spread diameter and there are also many types of ammunition for them (slugs, shot).

Not to mention, you probably wouldn't even have to use it on an intruder. The sound from "cocking" a shotgun is enough to make most people shit.


Honestly though, I prefer swords (not the flea market variety though, those wont cut anything). Buy something crafted by a real artisan and you will have a blade that can cut bodies in half.

Why the heck would I be better off killing someone intead of wounding them, first of all if all I wanted to do was wound someone, I wouldnt go at it with a shotty, and a bullet is survivable. I wouldnt even want to kill someone who intrudes my house, even if they're stealing shit they dont deserve to die for it, couple rubber bullets in the legs and they'll have understood not to come back to your house again.

uh bring your license and your birth certificate or social security card saying your age. (18) less than 300 will get you something decent, certainly not a browning or bennelli, but i think youll be pleased

The deceased can't sue, pure and simple. And I don't mean shooting an intruder, I mean an armed intruder (I just noticied I didn't specify). I wouldn't shoot anyone unless I was really under the impression that they were going to injure me. Nobody should die over stolen property.
