Sobe Bottle Waterfall: Picture and test How-to guide.

Did you bong break and you just have the bowl left? Have an extra bowl or don’t mind using for this? It is even worth using your bong bowl for this and just sliding it in every time you want to use it. I had a broken bong bowl so I decided to give something a friend told me about a try. This is my 2^nd one making and I thought I would take pictures while I was doing it for a how-to.



The reason Sobe waterfalls work so well is because you can take a whole bowl at once. It also really milks the bowl and makes the smoke thick and stick to your lungs, when you breathe out you hardly breathe out any smoke. It is better then gravity bongs because it is easier to use and seems to work a little better.



So first you take an empty Sobe bottle.








Place the bottle cap on a flat surface







Take the cap that is on it and use a knife to push though the bottle and twist it around to make the hole.







Make the hole about as big as your bong slide, the first time you make it though it is ok to make it a little smaller and force it through. Just don’t force it so hard you break your slide.







Find the part on the bottom of the bottle that has an indent in it





Place the tip of your knife there and use a hammer or blunt object to hit the end of the knife and poke a small hole in the bottle. The glass breaks inwards so it will fall in to the bottle, just wash it out and dump out the glass.







They usually end up looking like this.







I use my bathroom sink to dunk the Sobe bottle in water to fill it. Make sure you place your finger over the hole to make sure it does not leak.







Load the bowl and then screw the bowl/cap back on the Sobe bottle. Make sure you keep your finger over the bowl.







Hold the flame over the bowl with your free hand and slowly let off the hole at the bottom. Control the flow of the water to get your bowl good and lit.











Once it is cherried you can either let you finger off and let it flow or keep controlling the speed with your finger.







Once the bowl is all milked unscrew the cap and suck the hit in one smooth inhale. Think of it like a shotgun the small hole at the bottom will let you suck hard enough to clear it pretty fast.









Once the bottle gets to nasty to use (not long it does get dirty fast) you can just buy another one and poke the hole in the bottom. You can still use the old cap and bowl for the new bottle. yes very good other than the part that says this is better than a gravity bong. imagine these hits you've been taking, but out of this.. think of how much smoke is in that little glass bottle, and how much this can fill up

well bobbert, u never cease to amaze me, that sounds like a pretty fantastic idea, if i ever break my bong that is *knocks on wood* that is hasnt broke yet. i will definately have to try that out no matter what tho. + rep to you sir

Yea, that is just my personal opinion from my experience. I have made some gravity bongs out of gallon milk jugs and used them in a huge bucket, and also used gallon milk jugs as lungs before with a plastic bag. For some reason the Sobe bottle works best for me, I think it milks it more and really makes it thick.

If you had a big bowl and a gallon milk can it would be better then the Sobe because more weed, more volume. Gallon milk jugs and smaller bowls just clear to quickly.

i've used a culligan bottle before in a creek.

but anyways, all three have something in common (lungs, gravity, waterfall) they are all used by gravity.. i think it just depends on what you can hit.. I can take a whole 3 liter, i can take a gallon i can take most hits.. but some people cant, so the littler bottles are better for em otherwise it's a waste of weed and smoke

but making a waterfall also stales the smoke.. smoke gets stale in 3 or 4 seconds, and while you sit there with your fingero n the whole all the smoke is getting pretty stale.. gravity bongs hit your lungs with the smoke only being in there for about 1-2 seconds depending on how good you light it.

Damn, you draw a quick GB...1-2 seconds, phew. I just pull it up slowly so i can get it as milky as i can...i dont really care trhat the smoke is stale.

depends on how fat the bowl is packed...sometimes i milk em but the same amount of smoke is getting in depending on how fast you pull, hardly matters but you just think that if you pull it for 10 seconds, and hit it.. it hits harder.. well thats because the smoke is stale..heh. It's usually all the same.

Never had a glass version of any type of gravity bong though, i like his idea.. I have a pretty decent sized glass bottle here that would work good.. I don't wanna bust a knife hittn it with the hammer tho its really thick glass.

I'm gonna try that tomorrow probably. When I break a hole in the glass, is there a chance that the whole bottle will just shatter? Maybe I'll just buy 2 Sobe's just in case.
