Well, im an all around gamer. I love PC games as much as I love console game. But, I think I prefer console games a little more. Thats because I dont have hundreds of dollers to contantly upgrade my PC as the months go on just so I can play a PC game to see my relfection in water or see paint peel.

I mean, yea, PC is deff more advance than a console. But, majority of people would rather spend $400 on a console, and have it last years, than spend like $1500-2000 grand on a top of the line PC, only to have to uprade a little but down the line.

But, oh well. Everyone has their prefered spot for gaming. Console, PC, or the great outdoors.

I dont think there is to much info on the PS3 yet to even start saying its going to "own" the 360. Yea, it could turn out to be a monster of a console, but we dont realy know much about it to say anything realy.

I owned a PS2, wasnt much of a fan. Aside from GTA and SOCOM series, I never realy played the PS2. Im a first person shooter fan, isnt many of those on the PS2. Dont get me wrong, PS2 is a great system. But I saw myself playing my Xbox 10 times more than my PS2.

What the PS3 needs is a very good online system. One that can also compete with Xbox Live aswell. If not, to me, PS3 is the PS2 just much more powerfull.

sorry man, alot of kiosks were running 480p due to retarted white trash setting it up in walmart

and direct source videos have already been released because people now have consoles and games are buyable at stores now, it is infact running 1280x720 16:9 4xAA 60fps,some drops to 30 on COD2, various reviewers are even stateing COD2 looks better on 360 then top of the line pc's

yes i played at walmart, yes retards work there, yes it was jagged as hell, all direct feed kameo and COD2 videos from contest winner out show no jaggies and trust me im picky as hell when looking for them, i refuse to buy a game i cant run 1280x9604xAA 8xAF, even THAT is pushing my limits because its horrible jagged

Sony says they have no plans to have an XBox Live type of service. They said that they'd rather have the individual companies that produce the games make their own online thing.

I'm torn between getting the XBox360 and a PS3. I have both a PS2 and an XBox, but I always played the XBox because it was clearly better in ways that I cared about (4 players instead of 2, online play, better gfx).

But... now both next gen systems are going to have at least 4 players, so they're even there... but now the PS3 is going to have better graphics (according to the specs anyway...) but no online play, and the xbox will have online play.

I guess I can wait though, because I won't have the cash for either system for quite a while.

3.2ghz cell vs 3x3.2ghz power pc cores with 1mb cache, 6total hardware threads and 3x128VMX units
256+256mb ram, both in the 20-24gbps bandwith range vs 512mb ram with 22.4gbps bandwith
550mhz gpu vs 500mhz

to the average stupid person these specs are pretty even, but analzying this basically says, cell can preform physics calculations slightly faster where as xbox360 will calculate AI MUCH better, xbox360s gpu %2~ faster then the RSX in ps3 said by devs, it also has minimal preformence hit 4xAA 640x480-1920x1080, really its been said these systems are very similar in capabilites, the man makeing MGS4 for ps3 said it would very possible to port to 360 and have the exact same game, and the armored core pictures released for both systems showed the 360 to have superior lighting and shadeing, plus more things were going on at once on screen

paranoia13 - I just read another article on IGN, apparently now they're saying the 360 is more powerful. The data I was going on were the specs given out by Microsoft and Sony about their systems' performance specs, which apparently Sony exaggerated quite a bit.

they didnt just exaggerate a bit, 1.8teraflops being preformed on a GPU that didnt exist at the time of the info release was ALOT of exaggeration, but then again floating point calculations make up less then 20% of game code

First of all I hate analog remote controls, they drive me fooking crazy.
Never really been a console fan either but i am getting the 360 for only one reason., and thats to play Return to Castle Wolfenstein 2(RtCW2) on it just intill the PC version comes out. If the 360 lets me add a keyboard and mouse then im sure I can put it to more use :P
