Saw I was good because it played on the Asian "escape from the room" concept (for those that don't know, there are plenty of online games (mostly asian-made) that play on that same concept: You're locked in a room with a bunch of seemingly unrelated items and you have to figure out how to get out by doing all sorts of clues) except on a more deadly scale. Hopefully Saw II is as good.

It's fucked up, but it's good. You have to see the first one to fully appreciate it though. 2 picks up on so many small things form number one to blend them together, while also setup a 3rd. I loved it. The needle part made me crynge in my seat, and the dude who died involving fire (trying not to reveal anything)....movie was good to me.

looks like gimmicky crap to me but we'll see Man on Fire was probably the craziest one I've seen based on concepts saw will probably be another attempt at horror judging by the first one It's a matter of the reality within the piece making it scary and jigsaw just ain't scary imho when compared to a dude on a warpath |

The scary part, to me at least, about Saw, is that there could actually be people who think like Jigsaw, who think they have the right to tell people that the way they are living their lives is wrong, who will do anything to correct those 'wrongs'...And the way the people react when inside, that's very likely what would happen...it's frightening.

MoF had more realistic elements of 'pain' be it emotional or not it was damn harsh Then again I know exactly how Creasy was feeling I've been in that dark depressed funk only to be brought back then dropped again when the spark of light in my life was taken away by less extreme shit then what was in man on fire but more then enough to make it all hit home Jist is I can understand why he snapped on every level so it's all the freakier/sadder to watch as he finds that special someone only to be thrust back into the darkness Some psycho with no real motavation in a horror flick just doesn't shake me up lol | |
