xbox / halo 2 high definition problem

Hey all..

I realize this has nothing to do with marijuana, but I figured some of you must be knowledgeable of high definition TV's and/or xbox.

Here is my problem;

I am running xbox on high defintion on a Samsung TXP2670WHX (26" widescreen 16:9 HDTV).
The graphics are sweet except for what I think is an aliasing problem? It is very noticable and also very frustrating.. I took some pics to show what I am talking about (some lines just seem crooked instead of straight:

anyone have any ideas / suggestions on how to fix?

You say you don't have this problem with other TV's? Well I don't know what you could do, maybe it's being stretched to fit? Try changing the resolution.

Really though its only xbox, they don't have very strong GPU's

Well, I havent physically tried my xbox on any other tv's, but I have many friends with HDTV's and none have this problem.

...BUT, none of them had a 16:9 tv. Maybe the next step for me is to go to best buy and look at xbox on a 16:9 or something, and see if it has the same problems.

ok lets start this

highest definition mode supported in Halo2 is 480P(progressive), so your options are 480P or 480i(interlaced), interlaced causes a natural type of "blur" which hides some of these jaggies, progressive is differnt, it causes sharper looking edges which makes alisaing more noticeable

now, standard CRT tvs(which dates from the oldest tvs to todays tvs, you know the big bulky ones that weigh 120pounds even though its only 27inches?)also have a natural AA typle effect,bluring edges, but high def tvs in flavours of LCD plasma DLP or any other technology out there this wont occur

so suck it up, after all 480i= 640x240 resolution max 30FPS(at a 60hz refresh rate) and 480p=640x480 max fps 60fps(with 60hz refresh rate)

umm....I had the same problem on my 61" samsung DLP tv. I use high def cables. Maybe you might have to go to the xbox menu (leaving the disc tray open) and then go to settings, video, then make it set to widescreen. Might help. It helped me. But when you play split screen, it makes it verticaly split instead of the normal horizontal split, but you can get used to it. hope it works.

Considering this is an original xbox with no high definiton eqiupment, do you have the correct cables? I know that you should have some hi-def cables for the xbox to the TV. I don't have any hi-def anything though, so I have no idea.
