smoking and usage

every summer i usually get back into a running routine. i started smoking a little over a year ago. i don't smoke cigarettes, but i do smoke cigars fairly frequently and weed even more so than that. the past 2 months i've slowed down hellas, but the damage is already done. i ran maybe half a mile before i said: fuck that. i continue to work out and weightlift, pushups, etc. but running is too much cardio for me. that was just plain painful. i wanted to see if i could do it again. not really... half a mile and i'm spent. no running while i continue smoking, that's for damn sure.

acctually I know a lot of stoners who run...you just got to keep at it and you'll body will get used to it, and it keeps your tolerance pretty low too!!

yeah, but try to do it for the first time after a year of smoking. i didn't say it couldn't get easier. i just said i probably won't be willing to put the time and effort into getting back into it. i'm not fat either, just out of shape and too much smoking.

i never stopped smoking for swim season and i seemed to maintain the same fitness and shit. but maybe im a beast.

After not running for a year, and smoking for 4 months, I can run longer distances than I ever could before. Last march I would be dead after a little over a mile (I was running regularly for 1 or 2 months), now I'm just getting tired around 2.25 miles.

I run almost everyday whether it be on my own time or at lacrosse practice. I only felt slower when I didn't keep up with my excercise and only smoked. Now I can smoke all the time and run fine.

do any of you guys inhale tobacco as well as weed? THAT shit will coat your lungs. then talk twice about being badass. running will make you cry (well, not cry...but you will have to walk and pant).

yeah, i inhale everything like i would air, just so natural for me now...

what would be the point of tobacco if u didnt inhale.

i hate running not cuz, i smoke to much, i just dont like it i barley smoke, but try swimming, i swim 5,000 yards a day plus and its so much easier than running

i do agree with you on the subject of fuck running... but ive been smoking pot for about 3 and a half years and been smoking cigarettes about 6 months after i started smoking weed... havent ran a mile since freshman year... i hater running sooooo much.... even when i wasent a smoker i didnt run because i have astmah... but if im playing a sport i could really run all day... i dont know why... its probably because im so competitive... even if it hurts ill keep going because i hate losing..

Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
