DXM- Long Term Effects I Have Encountered

After being a DXM long time user, here are some ways in which it has changed me: (I have probably done over 60-70 trips, all more than 250mg, most more than 300, about 5-10 1000+mg)

**Negative**
At night, when i am in the dark, i have little colorful bubbles like when you just turn off the light and if u were looking into it, and you turn it on and then off realy quick, u have an imburned image of it, that is colorful...

As well, i have been a lot more depressed and anti social
It has impacted my long term memory somewhat, but almost all my memory from 2-3 months past when i used it is almost all gone.
I have been to the ER because of it, due to a seizure, and have had some small spasms during sleep... i would wake up and be knocking on the wall with my arms and legs.
Sometimes i still have slurry speech
Wasted MONEY i could have used elsewhere

**Positive**
Ive had some great times
It seems like i can focus a lot more now, and have a *weird* memory, (say i listen to a 20 minute speech, if someone like 2 hours afterwords asks me what was it about, i wouldnt know at all, but if they asked me questions like specifics, i could nail 18-19/20 of them)
I have become more muscular (im pretty unsure whether its because of this, but heres my theory. The day after your DXM trip, your muscles seem smaller, then as 1-2 weeks pass, they seem to grow back and even bigger.) With minimal workout i have gained 4.3 Kilos in the past 2 Months, while losing all my thanksgiving and haloween weight!

yeah, with me its kind of weirds just living, like in certain situations i totally disassocite and have no idea about anything, lol, if that makes sense.
what really gets me though is ALLLLLLLLLL those times ive tripped i couldve used that money SO much more wisely, i mean, jesus, ive spent just a lil bit more on weed than i have with dxm, thats fucked up.

i've had anywhere between 300-400 dxm trips, 80% of them over 600mg, 2 of them over 1500mg, about 50 of them over 900mg and around 4 or 5 of them above 1200mg, and a damn lot of them mixed with other substances (example: weed, ether, acid, mescaline, duster, speed, almost every drug i've done has been done also while on dxm to) and i dont even have words for what it has gotten me, alot of trouble, alot of mental defects, but also something that has changed me forever for better in an undescribable way.

one time i went 4 around 800-1000 mg trips 4 nights in a row, it was harsh!

Im truly sorry to hear what you just said. I have done dxm before but only 4 times and thats all you really should subject you liver too. I really hope people dont take me for an ass but what you have done to your body is a terrible tradgey. Marijuana is one thing but when hard drugs (and yes dxm is a hard drug) are somthing you want to start doing you better be careful. You really should have researched dxm before you decided to have 300 trips which most seem to be over 1000 mg, because when you get old you are seriously going to regret all the "fun times". If I was you and if you did what you say you did, I would go get my liver checked out. Have you ever had someone close to you die due to them being an alchaolic? My uncle suffered for 2 years and ill never take any drug that I encounter or take as serious as I do booze or DXM. DXM is only worse than booze when it comes to you liver.

As far as some of the effects i feel after i have taken it a few times are just that whenever i get near a robitussin bottle, or the gell caps....i throw up...eh, the pills cant even be in my sight or i start to gag...i dont know why tho.....

yea i'd say it caused me alot of severe problems, been to rehab several times, probation, lots of drama in my household cuz of it, problems with girlfriends n stuff, but as far as health effects, nothing to severe, a few hospitalizations, 2 of which i was forced to go to the hospital, 32 coricidins was the only one that i asked to be taken to the hospital, and the very first one from mixing dxm and diphenhydramine where i dont really remember to much of what happened.



all of the problems came not cuz of the drug itself, but more so because of me, i did dxm daily in binges that lasted weeks at a time, n i still do that every so often, but i dont go crazy with it like trudging through the snow to go get it, if i feel like tripping i do, i dont jus do it cuz its a free high n easier to get than many other "hallucinogens" although dex isnt really a hallucinogen.


but overall, if i could take it all back, i wouldnt, i'd do it all again because of the enlightenment it has all given me now because after alot of thinking i've finally realized the purpose of life for myself from all the drugs and drama.


edit: ehh my liver is fine haha, i aint worried bout death from liver serosis, feel sorry if you wish, but i dont regret a thing no matter what happens cuz of it, i live my life like i want to, n dats how i like it. if i get cancer or watever disease from all the drugs, i aint gonna care, the only people who r gonna care r people i know when i die from it, and when they all die they aint gonna care either, life is temporary n so r emotions. so its all good
