Major Airport Drug Bust Investigation

Airport police met a plane at The John C. Tune airport in Nashville after receiving a tip it may be carrying illegal drugs.

Airport police received a tip from a federal agency that a small Cessna plane would possibly be involved in illegal drug activity. The plane was carrying 500 pounds of marijuana.



Airport police met the plane when it arrived around 4:00 Saturday afternoon. It was coming here from Phoenix.



Police interviewed the pilot and he refused to allow them to search the plane.



That’s when airport police called in THP and one drug sniffing dog. The dog made a positive hit for narcotics.



Police have arrested the pilot.



The DEA and crime scene investigators are also involved in the investigation.

Sounds like a big dealer has gone down, Nashville might be kinda dry for a lil while... someones gotta take his spot now though..

Damn, I don't like it when the DEA or FBI starts getting involved.. creates more reason to denounce marijuana..
