We usually put it up a week or two before christmas. All the department and retail stores are starting to try and cash in on the christmas hype earlier and earlier and it is starting to get pretty annoying.

yea, i was just in macy's two days ago to buy a new jacket and they had some decorations up and then all those impulse novelty gifts like a coin sorter or cellphone/desk organizers were sitting out.

they almost got me with the coin jar that kept a total of how much you've put in it. pretty cool since i saved change.

I think it's getting like that with just about every holiday...they'll probably be putting Valentine's day stuff out before Christmas is even over. Some of the Dollar Stores around here have had Christmas stuff on the shelves already since September...ridiculous
