    Happy birthday loser [ha ha], sounds like a stupid event to me, but it could be enjoyable if it's limited to one thread, Internet-wide could be a nuisance.

    It's actually for all communication (internet and real life). So it is not limited to one thread.

    Welcome to the internet, I've noticed that you're new around here!

    International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a well known day and event, to the extent that major websites like Facebook added a pirate language option on ITLaPD last year.

    It's not hard to find people who jokingly talk like a pirate in real life on ITLaPD either.

    I hope you've learned something new on the internet today, I hope you decide to stick around!
