Man, don't take those FUCKING drugs, I've had them prescribed to me as a kid, before I could make decisions. It was horrible. turns you into a fucking zombie. Some people don't mind I guess. I rather live with myself.

Just remember that some of the most successful people in the world have been ADD, and were successful without meds.

Judge is right. I've been on a bunch. Ritalin, Adderall, Focalin. I used to hate them because of the zombie feeling.

But yeah maybe you have a natural disadvantage in the system. But you also have a whole lot of advantages because of your different thinking.

Just study more, anything can be done. Fuck drugs!

Did I mention they make you INCREDIBLY irritable? As well as make it a lot harder for you to eat. Fuck being a "dosed methhead"

Trust me, i took those fuckers for awhile when I was very young, and then again for about half a year when I was 16 or 17. Plus they don't know everything about LONG term side effects.

I've tried pretty much all the ADHD meds, I've been using for aprox 7+ years now. I am now on a 80mg daily dose of Strattera.

I will agree it turns you into a zombie at times, but it's something I sacrifice to do good in college so I can at least live my life drug free in the future.

It's a bit different for people who are prescribed it for a reason, then to those who take it recreationally (aka studying ). I've been prescribed them since 2nd grade, and although I will remark it does help, if can feel like a drudge on your brain after a while, or at times lose all motivation (used to what happen to me).

Now that you say that, I had really bad depression as a kid, it left as I got older. It wasn't normal depression either. I'm not depressed at all anymore. I wonder if it was those drugs.

Plus when I took them I smoked ridiculous amount to counter-act the drugs.


JUST FYI, coffee works well with ADD, just have a very thick cup.

so many ppl on gc have zero acceptance oif these meds.... "dosed methhead" - yeah they have amphetimine, but clearly not methamphetimine (sp?)

being a first prepcription i probably wouldnt get more than 15 mg's a day and im still in school and still playiong sports.... so im not living off the drug..
suicide..? please.... ive never had any depression or anxiety syptoms... the most paraniod ive ever got was probably just too much weed... if someone tries to fuck with me i dont accept it then go home and plot shit like some problamatic ppl i fuck shit up at the spot...
also, i dont have an addictive personality...

everyone is different to the medication but there are countless reports of teen suicide while one these drugs

with all respect to the families and friends of those people.... i would never, at all, be concerned with suicide - life is good .... only problem.... studying/focusing in school/consistently being atttentive.... and im pretty hyperactive in a classroom setting.
with all this being said my doctor does believe i have at least mild add/adhd (and my older sister does making more of a reason - genetics)
she gets amazing grades (had a 3.9 in h.s. in mostly ap classes) meanwhile i nearly failed 2 classes this recent junior year

she has no problems really - maybe trouble sleeping occasionally, but thats it
and she doesnt smoke pot at all, so trouble sleeping is kindof a non-issue for me... just sayin...

I used to be on amphetamines for ADHD, but I always felt strung out, so I stopped taking the meds. I'm doing okay without them (and I have an appetite now)
