| Question Everything. | Seasoned Tokers' Guide on "How to roll an L-Shaped Joint" with A LOT of pictures
Here's ElendGold back with another guide on How to roll Js! My first guide can be seen here: http://forum.grasscity.com/apprentic...-pictures.html I'd like to mention right away why I didn't post this guide in the Apprentice Tokers Section. I personally think that you must have a good understanding of how to roll a basic joint before you can think of rolling a L-Shaped Joint. I posted in this section, considering most of the posters are already quite good at rolling normal Js, and are maybe looking for something more... exotic? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. You need some Mary-Jane! Since weed is needed for the rolling, why not luxure ourselves with a few good macros and shots of what we will be using today. ![]() ![]() ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. You need rolling paper/a grind/flat surface! Obviously you will need the survival kit of any joint roller! I use the classic Zig-Zag Kutcorners (same paper as my other guide). My usual grinder too [Details in the second post] and obviously you will need a flat surface. [Hold your horses! I can already see preteens jumping into the "I roll without a flat surface, I rule" wagon, this is a guide to the easiest way of doing things, not the craziest.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3. 2 rolling papers! You will need 2 normal sizes papers, they will be glued together. ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Glueing time! You need to take one paper, the side without glue facing you. You then take the other one, you lick half of it, and you glue it under the other paper we had earlier. Tips: When you start, do not give your second paper a wide angle, try to be perpendicular. The wider the angle, the more pronounced cone shape you will have. For begginers, try to make it straight. ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Folding the paper! You now have to fold your paper with an angle. Do not follow the fold from your first paper. You have to fold it across, all the way. I think this picture explains it clearly. ![]() ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe everyone is quite aware of the initial steps on rolling a joint [Making the cut, sparkling it over the joint, compressing... etc], so I will skip that part. I will link you back my guide, if you need to visualize to understand: http://forum.grasscity.com/apprentic...-pictures.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Rolling! Once you have your joint rolled, the second paper will be sticking out. You want to lick the remaining glue, and press it all around the first paper. Making the well-known cone shape. Here's a picture of what it would look like once you've wrapped the second paper around the first. Personally, I use a DS Pen to push the weed in, it's the easiest and smallest thing I could find. (Definitely not the best !) ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. You are done! Just twist the end, once you've filled it with pot. And there it is, your first L-Shaped Joint! ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope this guide helped a lot of people, I would love to receive your feedback. I invite you to check the second part of this guide, which will be be situated as the second post in this thread! Highly yours, ElendGold ![]() P.S. I used 2 lens and a Nikon D300.

| Question Everything. | Re: Seasoned Tokers' Guide on "How to roll an L-Shaped Joint" with A LOT of pictures
In this second part, I will answer 2-3 questions Seasoned and Beginners might both ask. These are taken from my past experience making the guide for the Seasoned Tokers' Forum. I will add the questions others ask in this thread as we go along. 1. Why is it called L-Shaped, it's not... L-shaped? Elend. - Many seasoned tokers will laugh at me answering this question, but before someone starts posting such non-sense, I'll answer it. The name comes from the shape it has in the beggining.. 2. What grinder do you use, and why? Elend. - I use a simple metal grinder, with a screen and a second compartment to catch the kief. These pictures illustrate it. ![]() ![]() 3. You should center-align everything, looks cleaner. Elend. - BEGONE, PHASED. ![]() Quote:
Elend.

Nice Z-board, around here we call those joints spliffs.

| Question Everything. | Re: Seasoned Tokers' Guide on "How to roll an L-Shaped Joint" with A LOT of pictures Thanks, I was wondering how long it would take for someone to point it out, haha. Spliffs are actually known as Joints with weed and tobacco mixed in. Elend.

| Re: Seasoned Tokers' Guide on "How to roll an L-Shaped Joint" with A LOT of pictures That's why i said around here, because around here mixing weed with tobacy just is not done. Around here that joint is called a spliff or a bat, and a L is just a rolled up white owl.

Thanks a lot for the rep. It's always a good motivator to make more guides!

| Question Everything. | Re: Seasoned Tokers' Guide on "How to roll an L-Shaped Joint" with A LOT of pictures I haven't rolled in a while. It was actually an effort, I really had promised a few people on the website I'd do a L-Shape Joint rolling guide. But the technic really is a good way of doing it. Elend.
