Rep. Michael Burgess - “we are under Martial Law”

Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) reports from the floor of the House that the Republicans have been cut out of the process and called unpatriotic for not blindly supporting the fraudulent bailout. He says the only debate has been about what talking points to use on the American people. The most ominous revelation is when he claims the Speaker has declared martial law.
“I have been thrown out of more meetings in this capital in the last 24 hours than I ever thought possible, as a duly elected representative of 825,000 citizens of north Texas.” Said Congressman Burgess.
Burgess asks the Speaker of the House to post the bailout bill on the internet for at least 24 hours instead of passing the largest piece of legislation in US financial history in the “dark of night.”

The most frightening part of Rep. Burgess’ one-minute floor speech is when he says, “Mr. Speaker I understand we are under Martial Law as declared by the speaker last night.”

if we truly are in some sort of undeclared martial law, then i fear they will do everything to postpone this election on the grounds of it, or on the grounds of something, be it an assassination or a surprise medical emergency for McCain. Fuckin scary shit comin our way.

I'm just waiting for bush to declare a giant world war. I believe their is some silly law where you can not elect a new president while a war's going on. I could be wrong I'm no law major.

The US government is just jacked up. They pass all kinds of bills without even presenting them to the people. The Patriot Act was actually written up about a year before 9/11 even happened, yet somehow 9/11 was the cause for this Patriot Act.. Sounds just a little bit fishy to me.

Americans seem to have this delusion that America is the best country in the world and will last forever, but if you look throughout history every great civilization has fallen. America has only been around a few hundred years and is already fucking up. I dont expect it to last much longer, hopefully someone will overthrow the government and start a new country that is what America was supposed to be.

yea i fear that by using Mccain and Palin they have gotten half the ccountry behind the most incompetent people for a time like this, and that is what they wanted. after half the country backs them, they have half the country on there side if any big even happens prior to the election.

I can see the US collapsing on itself, but never being overthrown, if theirs one thing the US is good at, it is winning wars.
