Microwaving a glass bowl
I just tried nuking my bowl thinking that it would loosen the resin ( I have a glass sherlock, with a pretty drastic L bend to it), and allow me to smoke the vast amount of collected resin that I can never get outta the bend.
Well I discovered that after only 1 second on high, the resin ignites and puts out volumes of smoke. I actually just hotboxed my kitchen (a 1st for me). Thought I'd share in case anyone else has a stubborn bend in their sherlock! |

I can't now, but I'm putting my bubbler in the microwave for like 2 seconds later to see what happens.

firstly most glass pieces change color. Using the microwave on them will decrease this effect. They used to use chemicals for this effect now they use micro metal fumeing. Both a no no in the microwave. Best way to get resin out of a bowl Is a clothes hanger. Flatten one end and bend it to the needed shape.. Another trick is to stand the bowl on end in an oven at 250 for about 2 hours, the resin if in good amounts will work its way to the mouth piece and no damage will be done to the bowl. Just be sure to let it air cool. Hot glass and cold equals a lot of little pieces of glass..
