If you could create any movie, what would it be?

Heres the scenario: A film studio gives you an unlimited amount of money and resources to make your own film. You can hire any actors, go to any location and basically have all creative control over your product. After it's all finished it would be premiered to the american public.

• What kind of Genre would you have it under?
• Who would you hire to direct/act/write? Or would you do it yourself?
• blah blah blah more questions?

So, What kind of movie would you make?

I would have to make a high budget zombie movie, that would break the cheesy typical horror movie mold. A truly horrifying movie with zombies, no awful dialogue or ridiculously fake over the top stunts. I would try to make the film as realistic as possible so that people would think "holy shit that would be me getting torn apart".

I would want plenty of character development and no stock characters/stereotypes
(horny teenagers, bad guy with a heart of gold etc etc....)

Most of all I would want to use ambient music and the nightmarish and surreal synthesizer music like in apocalypse now. (nothing cheesy-good stuff) I would want people to be psychologically affected by the music and scenery so that they would leave the movie theater feeling like they are somehow stuck in a dream.

As for actors, I would mostly use a few unknowns so that the characters are fresh to audiences, but I would throw in 1 or 2 well known people in addition.
(thinking about it, I would probably kill the famous celebrity first to keep people guessing)

Genre: Martial Arts/Comedy/Drug Culture

Martial Arts comedy in the whole "Stephen Chow" kind of way, more of a blend of 1970's a-typical martial arts films, because what I'd want to do is bring all sorts of styles together, but not in a serious, Mortal Kombat way, more of a way that makes fun of the improbablity of a professional Capoeirista fighting a Shaolin Monk. lol

And I would have Stephen Chow co-produce/co-write it (With me), and starring would be Lateef Crowder and the whole Zero Gravity martial arts crew, Pauly Shore, and a bunch of other cameo appearances, including Bill Maher.

I'd probably stick with mainly unknown or minor actors for the main roles...maybe throw in Robert Duvall or another older famous actor for the quick roles like Old Bull Lee. I would try to use mainly music from 1957, the year it was published...have it playing on the radio in the car or in a bar, use it organically not just laying it over scenes.

Some directors like to take a story and twist it to their own liking, but with an epic book like "On The Road", I would stick as close to the original work as possible.
