Tobacco vs cannabis smoke
So I was high and began to observe people smoking cigs and joints and I began to think about the smoke each of them produce. Tobacco smoke seems to be made of finer particles than cannabis smoke. Cannabis smoke seems to be heavier and lazy, while tobacco smoke quickly rises into the air out of reach. Also I think that the finer particle of the tobacco smoke make it a "stronger" smoke, in the sense that it is able to permeate and "stick" to absolutely anything exposed to it. Also, when I smoke a joint my throat burns, but when I smoke a cigarette I get the burning sensation deeper in my chest.
Sometimes when I go out to a night club where everyone is smoking tobacco in a closed environment, by the time I get home my hair, clothes, skin and even underwear smell like crap, from the burnt tobacco. To compare to cannabis, when I hotbox a car with my friends the smell seems to fade away quickly once you are out in the open, and the burnt cannabis smell never clings to my hair the way tobacco does, nor does it get past layers of clothing into my undrwear. It seems that tobacco is a much more stronger and smellier smoke. However if you ask some one which smoke stands out more, they would say that cannabis smoke does, but I think that's just because people are more used to smelling tobacco than cannabis.
So my conclusion was that cannabis smoke is probably less dangerous than cigarette smoke due in part to the larger particle size, and limited penetration into objects/respiratory system.
