So I started thinking about this the other day at the mall where there were about 236970295 little girls in the bathroom acting obnoxious. I heard one of them ask the other if she had “drank like 4 mountain dews or what”...and it kinda made me think....these little kids are hopped up on mt dew the same way the rest of us get drunk or high...lol

ok so hear me out, caffeine is technically a drug, and it affects the same areas of our brain as coke, heroin, etc (yummy!) For some reason our society considers this an acceptable drug (I'm guessing because it's naturally in a lot of plants like tea leaves, coffee beans, etc - but give me a break, so is pot). Actually I'm guessing that most people don't even think of it as a drug at all because it's affects are so mild and it's socially acceptable.

It's crazy when you think about it...every kids first drug experience, kids are introduced to caffeine and get “all jacked up on mountain dew” and their parents either think its funny or tell them to lay off the pop. It's not seen as tripping or actually “being on drugs” because the effects of the drug are normal things for us...they aren't seen as bad or wrong, even though it's still manipulating your brain, just in a less obvious and less impairing way so it's “acceptable” and even expected (I mean who functions without caffeine today, seriously? coffee breaks anyone?) You later move on to alcohol (HAVE A BEER, SON! or you can just send your kid off to college and break them in that way, lol) and eventually your wasted ass is puffin on a J without even realizing it (not like, speaking from experience here or anything...hahaha) WOW guys I've never had a ciggy like this before!! lol

And I mean once you smoke weed it's all downhill from there, it's just a “hop skip and a jump from pepsi to dying in an alley with a needle in your arm” (can't remember where I heard that but it made me giggle)

I'm not saying that caffeine is actually a gateway drug, just according to the gov's “gateway drug” theory about pot and alcohol, we were all cracked out to start with our first sip of pepsi. It's a rough road from here to heroin guys...after all, 100% of heroin addicts tried caffeine at least once before. Hahaha...now I'm just being a dumbass, Imma go spark another bowl cuz Im ADDICTED!!!! oh by the way anyone know where i can get some crack?!?!! lol

Hahahaha, funny the way caffeine is COMPLETELY legal to ANYONE at all, but yet weed is safer and illegal. It's possible to OD on caffeine and die, very unlikely...you'd probably need to get caffeine pills and take a lot all at once to OD or something, but it's still possible and legal.

caffeine never really affected me, and i used to drink a shit load of pop. one day i just stopped drinking it and i didnt have withdrawals haha. i havent had caffeine for about a year now and i dont really feel any different. is this relevant? i dont know but i already wrote it out

I haven't deliberately/knowingly drank anything with caffeine in it for almost two years now. I quit using caffeine after I decided I only wanted to do enjoyable drugs.

So, no chocolate, no coffee, no tea, no soda/pop. Wow, I'm surprised anyone good give up such tasty things just to avoid caffeine. Good for you man, I doubt I could give up chocolate, maybe the rest of it, but not chocolate.

Well, I still eat chocolate. That would be really hard to for me to give up. It's just beverages with caffeine that I don't drink... I still drink caffeine-free soda occasionally. And I also drink hot chocolate on occasion, but that has pretty negligible amounts of caffeine in it compared to soda/coffee/etc.

But yeah, back in high school, I had a caffeine addiction that was fairly unpleasant. I'm a pretty lightweight person, and it used to really fuck up my ability to fall asleep. I would also get headaches if I'd gone too long without drinking a soda. I just evaluated the positive things I got from caffeinated drinks versus the drawbacks, and I decided I'd rather give them up.

The only thing I really miss is Mountain Dew. It's been so long since I've tasted it... but I recall it as pretty much the nectar of the gods. AMP was damned good too; I wish they made... caffeine-free energy drinks. =)

I actually have a friend addicted to caffeine, it's not pretty.

I stay away from it mostly, but of course i'll ingest some every now and then, though Iv never in my life had a problem with addiction.

i can tell yas all right now from experience, that caffiene is def a gateway drug as tokey420 described.
I cant wake up properly unless i drink a couple cups in the morning, and if i dont ill be half asleep all day, irritated and have headaches.
weed is so much safer (just wish i could find some bomb sativa strains atm to get me going after my wakenbake )

haha this makes me think of like a dirty homeless guy with tatered clothing all tweakin out in an alley, and then goin in the gas station n grabbing a pot of coffee and running out while the employee's chase him down and he's chuggin the coffee while he runs so he can run faster haha, i dunno i'm retarded
