Organic half and half?

So my mom works at an alternative grocery store that sells organic stuff.
She gave me this glass bottle of half and half thats organic, with cream on top and everything.

So I check the "sell by" date which is Feb 24th... Okay... well its not opened so maybe its ok. I open it and look at the top, tip it a bit to see the consistancy of the cream... it doesn't move. Right... okay, thats fine, its organic and I've never had half and half, much less stuff with cream on top.
So I smell it... it smells like cheese, which sends alarm bells off in my mind.. but then again it doesn't smell like rotton milk... and this is cream, not milk. So I figure I'll taste it, see if it tastes like shit. Its got the consistancy of creamy cream cheese... but the taste of cheesy fermented milk.

I don't think this organic half and half is any good, its probably rotten... but can I make this into cheese?

milk is usually good for about 2 weeks.

As for making it into cheese, i wouldnt sugges tit. you have no way of knowing what nasties may want to grow in it, esepcially if you dont have a very sterile and controlled envvironment.

True that... Its been over two weeks though. I'm sure it might be okay to drink, but I'm paranoid when it comes to milk. However, I've never seen cream before so I found it amazing that it was solid and stuff.

OMG I just noticed I have 3 green bar thingys. YAY

I also am very paranoid about expired milk, or any other food item for that matter.

As for cream, im not sure what state it is supposed to be in naturally...But milk istelf seperates into curds (solids) and whey (liquid, watery)
Thus when your milk curdles...it seperates and gets chunkies in it and the liquid seems alot more watery.
