For the past couple months my younger bro had a website (noquitters.net) where him and his friends post funny videos, fights (bro scraps) not real fights and shit like this.

And I was searchin the news today and seen this:

The mother of a Saskatoon teenager has gone to the police after seeing her son beaten up in a YouTube fight video.
Amateur fight videos involving teenagers or young men have become increasingly popular on the internet, and when Brenda Burns saw her son in one of them, she was appalled.
One YouTube video shows Burns's 16-year-old son, Jonathon Carroll, falling to the ground and being kicked in the head by another teenager.
Burns said her son joined a fight club called "No Quitters" because he wanted to be accepted at his new high school.
"Just pretty much 15 minutes of fame thing on video," Carroll said.
However, after a couple of fights, the fame wasn't worth the pain, said Carroll, a Grade 10 student at Aden Bowman Collegiate in Saskatoon.
"It got carried away," he said. "When I was on the ground in the fetal position, the guy kicked me in the back of the head near my neck. That could have killed me."
Burns said her son was coming home with massive bruises.
"Black and blue bruises on his arms," she said. "Another time he came home with lumps on his head."
Until recently, Burns hadn't seen any of the videos. When she did, she was disgusted, she said.
"I'm nauseous," she said. "There are no words to really describe it."
Insp. Rick Penny of the Saskatoon police service said he wants to stop the behaviour before it has a chance to escalate.
"What initially starts off with a couple of young people as a prank sometimes goes too far," he said. "If in fact there was injury caused, then it becomes a crime."
It will take about a month to investigate the fight club and make a decision about charges, Penny said.

Jesus, the media is retarded. It's funny I've seen some of these fights and no one is trying to cause bodily harm, other then a few cuts and bruises.

What I should have said was, they weren't trying to hurt anyone as much as they wanted. I mean, the people fighting were friends and they just wanted to prove their "toughness" over youtube. Lame I gotta say but the news has been calling here all day.

It was real fighting but we were all friends who did it and volunteeringly. If the other person said they give up, then they stop. The 16 year old challenged me all the time and im 18 and he made it sound like I was bullying just because I'm older. He was the one who always wanted to do it and shit. I got a call from the news today. They want to interview me. I probably won't do it though.

I've seen some guys on youtube do this stuff. Most of it is pretty stupid; just a bunch of guys having a good time kicking each other's asses. But no one looks like they're gonna cry or anything pussy like that. I feel for your brother...that's gotta suck to look like some ringleader of a fight club.

The great danger with these fight clubs is that there are few rules as evidenced by someone kicking a downed fighter in the head, which could be fatal. While I agree that we are now over-regulated, youngsters often try to copy moves by professional wrestlers. As anyone who has actually fought much knows,you wouldn't walk away from some of these blows if they were delivered for real.

Seriously, kicking a guy on the floor is no way to behave in a sports fight, and this is pretty much sports. Other than that, I see no problem with this. If I get into a fight because I wanted to and I get my ass kicked, I have nobody to blame but myself.

One thign that I have leanred in martial arts is that the lower belts tend to have less control when they attack and block, and when I was younger ive downed a few guys by a swift but misplced kick to the cajones.

yes dont get me wrong, boys will be boys nd they do like to scrap and wrestle, but when someone is down like that, a kick to the head can do some serious damage, even if it is "accidental". its also unsportsman like.
Granted, in real fights, most people will not go by rules.
