If you could meet anyone, dead or alive....
it's that great old conversations starter...
If you could meet for a chat with anyone, dead or alive... who would you pick? the question came up in a pub a while back, and i was away at the bar, and joined in half way through when a couple of guys were talking about their great uncle and grandad ... someone else asked me, "we're talking about what one person would you pick to meet if you could pick anyone, dead or alive, for a chat, who would you pick Digit?".... i answered after pondering it for a moment.... "i would like to meet Billy Meier." "oh wow, and here we all were meeting dead relatives" i got back. "well yeah, Billy Meier, get it straight from the horse's mouth". so guys, share yours... Who would you like to meet? [edit: please remember, the point is, you can only pick ONE person! yes, it's supposed to be hard. anyone can list a dozen names. ]my reply is still, Billy Meier Last edited by Digit; 01-26-2008 at 12:14 PM. |

Tough question. I guess I'd really like to talk to John Lennon, I'm not even a big fan of the beatles at all. I like his solo work though. I think he just had a great grasp on what life is all about.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: is this real, or is this just a ride?" |

For me it would be Tommy Chong.
Overrated? Yes but that's the truth.

A lot of people choose someone famous when answering this question, but I think I would probably choose my great-grandfather, or some other distant ancestor. My great grandfather immigrated to the U.S. from Italy when he was about 18, and I've always wondered why, and what his life was like. After all if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be here. I have some other great great grandfathers who fought in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, and lots of other wars.... so I know they would have some interesting stories to tell. Genealogy and family history are fascinating to me.
Besides, famous people's lives are well documented. We already know so much about them, but there's plenty of interesting people who you don't know about. I guess if I had to choose a famous person though, it would either be Bob Marley or Leonardo da Vinci. |
